Pottery & Glass item condition not applicable but showing as NEW for listings

Noticed and called into support yesterday that my listings in the pottery and glass, china / dinnerware categories were showing NEW condition when listing went active even though when creating the listing, item condition is showing as non applicable and didn't not allow for me to choose and item condition. Ticket was opened by support, but I am still having same issue today. Can not find any system announcement on this issue. What is going on? Any time estimate for a fix? This has the potential to create major problems for sellers and buyers, but mostly for sellers since ebay typically sides with buyers.

This problem is weeks old, I have called eBay twice on this matter, but all I get is lip service. I can not list 50 year old Items as new. I do have a single listing with disclaimers that this Item is not new, but I'm waiting for SNADS (Item not as described) The best way to avoid this problem is to not list. The Airheads at eBay can't seem to do anything right but lie. Good Luck to you.

Same thing happened to me the other day while trying to list an antique silver server. I had to cancel the listing. I would definitely NOT list with that type of glitch. I'm not sure what the problem is but know that you aren't the only one out there.

Lesson: Always double check your listings after they post 🙂

eBay did credit me for the listings I removed because of this problem, but that was 2 weeks ago and the problem has not been fixed. Good Luck to you.

Will bring this matter up on the weekly chat boards today at 4 (EST) and see what the eBay community's manager has to say. Hope not more lip service. Good Luck.

I am not seeing a default to NEW, just no differentiating between new and used in Pottery & Glass.  It says "Not applicable in this category."  What is with this?????  Everything on E-bay should at lease be listed new or used.  For a while, I was changing my dishes to Home and Garden-Kitchen, etc.  because that category has new and used.  But that required redoing almost the listing. So now, I just put "used" somewhere in the condition box along with no scratches, etc.  This is crazy. What is the point?  Anybody else bugged by this?  When I try to address it in "Contact Us" their sort process for questions does not have anything for listing questions, so you cannot get to the phone call stage!  Anybody?

This is happened to me, My condition issues on glass and pottery as well as the new or used disappeared  Ebay said it was new to them yesterday when I called.

I have about 1000 listings up on ebay and most of the pottery and glass is affected.  the worst is we are on a 2 day holiday and I am spending it fixing corupted listings..  I have to notifly every offer of the problem and make sure they understand the listing... Horrible holiday
