A purchase I made was posted twice. Once as an error with no paymnet, and once normally. I was advised by eBay after the purchase the seller account had been compromised by a thrid party and I should file a claim through the resolution center. The resolution center picks up the error order and tell sme it hasn't been paid and to go to checkout. The item is not in checkout because it was paid as shown on the second posting. What do I do now?

You can't cancel it because there was no payment, either the seller or Ebay is going to have to cancel. There's nothing to claim in Resolution center without a payment.
I would try to contact the seller to see if the account is straigtened out, ask him to cancel it. If that doesn't work, call ebay back.
