I deleted my cookies, tried to sign in but was only given an option to phone on some number. My phone network can't connect to this number. No I literally have absolutely no other possible way of trying a different network, and am given no other way to verify myself.

ok, when you tried to sign up to your account through ebay.co.uk, did ebay provide you their phone number to call them and they gave you a security code too??

I didn't actually list the number it provided in my OP, I was trying to make the title as concise as possible, but I signed in using...

Are you in the US or the UK?
Your account is registered in the US, but you are trying to sign in to the UK.
If you are in the US, try contacting eBay through the Help page on the US ebay.com site:

I am in UK. Do you think the network may not connect because it's a mobile network?

According your ebay profile account, your account is registered in US today (Sep 05, 2022)
You need to change the country to UK.

I guess it defaulted to US as location field was left blank, I only made this account temporarily as I couldn't get on my old one.

For what it may be worth, it did not give me an option of a code, but you made me realise I could log in on my phone app and add every **bleep** alternative way to login as I could add, and linking my Google account worked, thankyou!

I'm glad to hear that.
And you welcome...
