Photo Files Are Corrupted

Hello,

Items that have been correctly listed for weeks, months or even years are now displaying corrupted photo files.  I have noticed that hundreds of my listings are now missing photos on both the desktop and the pc versions.

@valueaddedresource Have you heard of anyone else experiencing this in your circles?  I generally go over old listings on Sundays, but this is the first time I have seen listings with so many corrupted photo files.

@wilsonharborsales thanks for the tag. Unfortunately no, I haven't heard other recent reports of this image issue. Also unfortunately, when I've talked to people who have had their images corrupted like this in the past, they have said eBay was not able to help and the only way to fix it was to reupload every missing picture.

I occasionally run into this with older listings. I just re-upload the pics which hasn't been a big deal, but that's because I've never had a large number of listings impacted at once.

You have 18,000 listings.

I notice changes when eBay makes changes sometimes.

I am only going back a year of two and see like "condition" has disappeared on some of my listings as nothing.

I find this very important for those making purchases using an iPhone.

I don't think items for sale were meant to last for years.

I think maybe the older items listed might need to be a 'fire sale'.

With a store your size, it would be impossible to know if pictures other than the first picture are corrupted, unless you stumbled into it.  I agree with Liz, I don't think this can be fixed by eBay.
