The link to print a formatted listing of a purchased item has disappeared. Is this a bug or a feature?

The option to print a listing disappeared after Feb 22. What does this have to do with security? It's just someone's dumb technical decision to fix something that wasn't broken. Oh well!

So if this is permanent, how do you print out a listing of something you bought or sold without getting a bunch useless "See what other people bought after buying this item" "More from the same seller" and "Sponsored Links" cluttering up the page?

There is no more nicely formatted Ebay listing print option. You just have to use the browser print which will include all that extra garbage.

Just got off the phone with eBay. Rep said they were working on a fix and it could take 30 to 60 days! Hard to communicate with and not very helpful. Told her it was unacceptable and need the feature back. We'll see what happens.

So someone acknowleged it was a bug anyway :-). What happened to this is a security 'feature' ? The story is different depending upon which rep one speaks with. I hope the Print option reappears at some point.

I am convinced that the "bug" was that the Print feature revealed Best Offer prices, which eBay apparently never wanted seen as there was never an "official" way to find them.
My bet is that the Print feature will return, but without this "reveal". . . . 😞

Noted absence of the item print function also. Hope Ebay will restore this capability A.S.A.P. Used it for all purchases to keep a historical archive of said purchases.
Meantime, one can use screen captures, cut and paste functions to acquire the same information, although it is spmewhat ackward and will likely require multiple steps to produce a usable document.
Another approach is to utilize PDF capture software to facilitate the process. Adobe Acrobat for Windows (commerical fee based) has the ability to convert web pages to PDF formatted documents. Settings support capture including wrapping of text vs. truncating it. Generally it is "Frame" friendly, but not always perfectly so. The product optionally installs an icon on your browser toolbar (at least for Iexplorer & Firefox) from which one can invoke the conversion of the web page to PDF via a single mouse click to be stored digitally in a location of your choice.
There are also multiple products of both Fee Based & Free "PDF writers" that will perform like or same functions mentioned above. "PDF writers" behave as a virtual printer driver on your computing device to receive a print stream, convert it to pdf format and store the generated output.
Hope this information is helpful to those who need a substitute for the currently missing Ebay item print functionality.

I bet they removed it because people used this option to see the real selling price for sold best offer auctions!

Well maybe then they should at least restore the function for sellers. It took me a half hour to print out my sold listing by cuting, pasting, copying, deteting blocks of screen text to a managable printable format. This really stinks.

A seller can still print out the the listing the old way using the same print button. It is just no longer in the listing.
Click on the sold listing. At the top you will see several blue colored options, click on the one called View Purchased Item. You will see the familiar print page.
The above works for a regular listing. For a variation listing it is trickier.
Click on the sold listing. Click on View Purchase history. The page shows item left to be sold so go on the right is More Actions, choose View Purchased Item to see the familiar Print option.
It would have been nice of ebay to tell sellers how to do this once they removed it from the listing page but did not. Some smart sellers figured out how to do this and posted the method in a few topics on this issue. Just passing on what I found.
Hope this helps.
PS Buyers can also see the print by viewing their items purchased. I do not remember how but similar to the above.

Don't see any different page when I do that.

Go to My ebay sold listings. Click on the sold and up comes the listings with options at the top.
Here is a regular listing what you see
Click on view purchased item to see the Print view like before.
For a variation listing, it looks like this
Click on view purchase history, this bring you to another screen on on the right click on More Actions to see the item sold under option view purchased item.
Update: I see that you sell in ebay Motors. Maybe it is different.

I get something like your first example with these choices:
When I click on View purchased item, I get the same screen as before with no differance if I print it out. No print button either.

There is still no way to print a formatted listing of a *purchased* item as you could before.

Please check message 2 in this topic for possible ways to use the old Print button for items you purchased.
