Offensive items list under "Sponsored items due to your recent viewing...

I've been a buyer on eBay for over 20 years and this has really pushed me to a melting point.  I've been using My eBay the enter time that I have been a registered user.  I was browsing some historical post cards from my home time the other day and saved several to my watch list and log out after that query.  When I logged in later, I was appalled to see among "My Summary" items id'd as sponsored items due to your recent viewing, a continuous line of near porno, nude post cards - that turned out to be listed by the same seller that listed the historic posts that I had viewed earlier (a seller with 1000 plus items listed - most old/vintage pc's of locations, landmarks etc. - I've deleted those items associated with that dealer; logged out of eBay several times - rebooted my computer.  I know to some this wouldn't be a problem; but I do.  If they had been fine art paintings of nudes or any of the other run of the mill post cards that the seller has listed, I probably wouldn't have even noticed - but the "suggestions" are getting worse as time goes by.   My computer and network are secure - I am the only user of this account and the hardware used to access the account.  How did this happen to start with, and how can I get it resolved?

I was appalled to see among "My Summary" items id'd as sponsored items due to your recent viewing [...] that turned out to be listed by the same seller that listed the historic posts that I had viewed earlier

eBay is likely suggesting other items from the same seller that you had viewed items from previously in this case. eBay will also suggest other items from saved sellers or items that are similar in some respects to other items you have searched for in various ways.

Some of the items suggested on the main ebay.com page can be erased by going to your Recently Viewed page and using the "Clear all" link there; that may not clear all the suggestions, though.

Other ways to avoid such suggestions: remove the saved seller from your Saved Seller list -- if those suggestions were from a particular seller on the list. Perform new searches repeatedly to displace the old ones that the suggestions are drawn from. Or use a different page as your landing page to avoid the suggestions. Or use an ad blocker with an element hiding tool to block those suggestion rows from appearing at all in your browser.

Also possible options to avoid this in the future: searching using a different eBay account or while not signed in to your account, though this would make it much harder to save items to a Watch List or place an order.

@hubbellntess

Go to your My eBay > Recently viewed page, and then click on the "Clear all" button in the upper right corner of the page. That should stop this seller's items from showing up in your feed.
