Using a private or incognito browser window ignores your current cookies and cache -- if there is a problem with your current cache (or cookies), then clearing your cache (or possibly your cookies) might allow you to use Firefox normally.

Can you see your Watch List items if you use your Summary page?
It might be an issue with displaying the Watch List page itself. Possibly it is worth trying to view that page in another browser to see if that works; if so, try clearing the browser cache in your original browser.
The messages issue may be similar; try this link to see messages from members, it might display better for you:

I'm having the same issue. Messages aren't there, or when I click messages, it goes to ebay home screen. I've tried the ebay app, classic site, and also tried desktop mode and none work. It's definitely messed up.

Thanks the link you sent for the messages works i can read the description, but if i go to it through ebay it doesn't?
When i go to Summary page it shows my purchases not my Watch list? I click watch list and get massive arrows on the screen as shown in the pic!

If your Summary page is not showing your Watch List items -- and I have seen that happen sometimes -- try this old "All Lists" link, which should show all the items on all of your lists:
Are you able to see your Watch List in another browser? Or in a private or incognito browser window after signing in again?

I did not realize your were in the UK -- you are currently signed in to the US site.
If you want to use the UK version of the "All Lists" link, here it is:
And the UK version of the Messages from Members link:

Ok I tried using Microsoft Edge and everything worked, I normally use Firefox so I will try firefox private browsing see if it makes any difference

If pages look normal in Edge but not Firefox, I would suggest going to Firefox Options, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data, and hit the "Clear Data" button. Try deleting "Cached Web Content" first. If that does not help, try clearing "Cookies and Site Data" -- you will need to sign in again after that.

It was cache, i now see the new updated/edited version of ebay, my watchlist looks more responsive and more up to date... my cache and history must have been trying to use the old version that was in its cookies
Thanks for all your help

You are very welcome -- glad to hear you were able to sort it out!
Sometimes when a web site makes major changes, those changes can conflict with data stored in the cache -- resulting in problems loading pages or getting things to format correctly. Checking another browser can generally indicate if the problem is with the site or with the browser, and if it is the browser, clearing the cache can often help.
