I don't know who approved the new search feature but they should be fired. I'm searching for a shoe and I'm getting 500 thousand results for shoes that have nothing to do with what I'm searching for. This is frustrating looking for things now and borderline impossible.

I'm having the same exact issues when searching for individual players in the sports cards category. Pulls up over 55,000,000 results that have nothing to do with what I'm searching. Ebay needs to take the keyboard away from some of these clowns

Currently lots of folks searching for sports cards seem to be having an issue, particularly using the 6.168.0.2 version of the eBay app.
Possibly this is an iOS issue only? The Android 6.168.0.1 version of the app seems to be producing reasonable search results for me, and searching using a mobile browser works as well.
You should be able to report app issues on your phone by shaking the device while the app is active.
Try using a different sort if you are using "Best Match". Try narrowing the results to one category. Try putting one of your search keywords in quotes. Try searching using a browser instead of the app.
Or try searching using a desktop browser or another device to search.
If you are using a desktop browser and having problems searching, can you provide a link to your search results for one of your searches?

How would I even switch back to try that? I'm not completely computer illiterate but I haven't done stuff like that sense like windows xp and never on a phone.

I don't know how easy it would be to install an older version of the app on an iOS device, sorry. Not an iOS user.
You may be better off searching using a browser -- preferably a desktop browser -- until eBay releases a new app update for iOS to address this issue.

Last year, there were several sellers who reported on irrelevant search results. This issue was supposed to have been fixed early this year. It has still not been fixed. For example, if I type in Mega Bloks 97104, I get 736 results. If I use quotes, 28 results. But remember, we are sellers who are used to finding work arounds. But what about the buyers, who just get frustrated and go shop elsewhere?

Since Ebay takes pride in their being a major global tech company, it should express it's thanks to users for their continued busines utilizing the new search feature.

Obviously considered as not having what it takes to be a ebay shopper.

Hey @ronbrad42! We apologize about the experience that you had with the search function. I did reach out to our Product team and this issue should be resolved and search should now be working as intended.

I suffer these same issues on my desktop, searching coins. Frustrating! My subsribed search list aren't listing what I'm looking for and I am having to view the same coins via email daily ( I understand why - I have purchased several items that I wouldn't have been looking for so it is an increased revenue source for eBay).
Not all coin dates and mint marks available for an individual search and in order to find a common date (for upgrading my set) I am forced to scan lists of every coin in a particular series!

I buy and sell car parts on here. The search used to pull up exactly what I typed. Now, I get everything under the sun, most unrelated to the specific search. How do we get eBay to switch back to the old system? It is terribly frustrating!! A reply from eBay would be great.
