Listing new items generates an identity verification error. The issue is repeatable with Firefox and Edge. The issue was confirmed by customer service and logged as 1-436565164946. Can someone assist?

Hi, I am not getting the exact same error message but for the past two days, have been unable to use the sell feature and list items.

It puts me in an endless login and captcha loop.

CS says my account is fine and it is a technical error on their end with some sellers, but not all, having the same issue.

Ive tried Google chrome, Firefox and Safari on multiple devices...all the same.

Tons of items to list before next week...super frustrating. It seems like Ebay should have engineers to quickly solve these issues.

You may be able to avoid the loop if you sign in using a social media account, provided that you have previously linked the social media account to your existing eBay account.

Possibly trying a different browser (or a private or incognito browser window) may help. Preferably a recent version of a popular browser using default settings and no add-ons installed.

I just contacted customer support for the same issue... They said ebay is updating the site & to give it 24 hours. I do appreciate their information but i would have been happier if I had some notice. Sitting here with stuff to list & cant list it! 😠

The issue was reported five days ago and the CS guy said wait 24 hours. So it should have been fixed 4 days ago.

Anybody still having this problem? It went away for two days but now the loop is back. I was able to list about 30 items. Are we locked out for another day....? Getting ready to call CS for the third time this week. Social media logins and different browsers/devices haven't changed the experience.
