Why is a new browser opened when I click on a search item?

Search results open in a new browser tab for me, when left clicking on an item link in the search results using a desktop browser.

Yes, I noticed that, too: any listing chosen from Search results opens a new tab in the browser (Chrome on Windows 10, in my case). Am still pondering whether I like that...

I’ve decided: it sux.  Would like to disable!

Personally I like it, just as easy to close the tab as to click on the back button, but I am on desk top, so might not be the same with other type devices.

Absolutely agree… this is not better by any means …. Give us a way to turn it off

Why cant ebay just leave things alone,they are always trying to "simplify" things or telling us how this change will benefit site users.Please leave things alone or give us the option not to use your so-called improvements

To keep the original window open to where you left off b4 the click that opened the other window, I like it!

Really nice when you send a message, you don't have to go back through all the windows to get back to listing page, just one click. 🙂
