Went to by several auto parts but I am put in a never ending loop to verify I am human. I can make it to checkout or see the summary of what I am buying. The seller emailed me a discount and eBay put me in another never ending loop to verify I am human. Very bummed I can not get the parts I need after a person referred me to eBay.

I do not think most users are encountering that, though clearly some are.
Typically I only see such Captcha verification screens immediately after erasing my browser cookies and signing in to eBay once again.
Are you using a VPN or a hotspot? Privacy software like Ghostery or Disconnect?
Any of those can potentially cause verification issues.
If none of those things apply, your browser may be having issues saving or updating your eBay cookies. Blocking all cookies, blocking third party cookies, blocking scripts or using enhanced tracking protection might cause such issues. Try changing your settings or try another browser without those settings to see if you avoid Captcha issues that way.
If another browser works better, try manually erasing just your eBay cookies in the original browser once; that might help if the problem was with a blocked or corrupt cookie, but if you are having problems with multiple browsers or devices the issue may be with your particular settings or your network.

I am currently trying to set up an account on Ebay and half way through the process it pops up with a Captcha screen that I complete and it just refreshes and makes me do it again and again. This is killing me!

This is usually a cache and cookie issue. If you clear cache and cookies it usually clears the problem. If unsure how to do this you can google it

It's so frustrating to sit here playing games with Captcha. Sometimes it take 5-10 tries. Sometimes it runs out at 10 tries, says "error", and you have to go back and start again. Sometimes it takes 50+ tries. I'm wasting A LOT of time on this.
Clearing all cookies and browsing data doesn't work. Changing browsers and incognito doesn't work. It's an eBay/Captcha technical problem.
If someone at eBay sees this and wants to whitelist me, the username is b2esurplus

Some users are obviously have problems with Captcha, but not everyone is. If you can figure out the difference between the folks having problems and the folks not having problems, that might point to a workaround or even a solution to this issue. It might be location-based, or tied to a particular network which may be difficult to work around, but it could be something else that is more easily avoided such as a specific browser add-on or certain security software or settings.
Try an alternative link to sign in to rule out an issue with a particular link:
https://signin.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
If you are using a mobile browser, try changing to a different browser mode: mobile, classic or desktop. Try a desktop browser or a mobile browser in desktop mode.
Or try using the eBay app.
If you contact eBay directly, mention ALERT15299 to have your account added to the open ticket.

Clearing all cookies is not necessary and may not work if there is a specific corrupt or blocked cookie. Manual deletion of just eBay cookies may help, though.

I'm "blocked" (or "put in a loop") when I go to a listing and click Buy it Now. I actually can't get an order in now. I I buy a lot on here.
I tried to Add to Cart - then checkout one item from there, and end up in the same loop.
I also logged out and logged in, adding the Google Pin # option, hoping that might help. It didn't change anything.
After struggling with this for probably a year (on and off), I'm probably going to finally contact eBay. Hopefully they're able to fix it.
I was stuck in a similar problem a few years ago, where it would decline my credit card constantly (it was all eBay's error). After I mentioned it on this forum, someone must have saw and fixed it and it hasn't been a problem since. Was hoping I'd finally bring it up and get it fixed this way. 🙂

What operating system are you using? What browsers have you tried? Latest versions?
Are you using a VPN or a hotspot? Ghostery or Disconnect?
Have you tried checking out using the eBay app or a mobile browser? How about when you are not connected to your usual WiFi?
Can you check out on ebay.ca instead of ebay.com?

Using Chrome. I always keep it updated.
I'm a USA user. No VPN. Nothing odd. I just buy a lot of business supplies on here.
Have not tried using the app. I don't really like messing with such things on my phone. I might get stuck doing that, hoping they can get it fixed. So appreciate that idea.
Just tried Ebay.ca and let me get to the checkout page. That might be my work around until it's fixed.
Does that indicate anything for you? That I'm in a loop on the .com site, but it let me into checkout (without any Captcha) on the .ca site?

The security on the two sites should be entirely identical, so any difference you notice between the two is likely due to your browser history or eBay cookies, or possibly some very odd network setting or issue.

Funny. Users have technical issues with company's website, then user is blamed for problem on their end. I'm having same problem tonight, can't place order, stuck in capcha loop. Had no problem last week placing an order......but I'm sure it's totally a fault on my end tonight.

Im having this issue too, tried to buy something i won in a bid. Got stuck in a captcha loop and got a message from my bank abt a payment to Ebay going thru. But my item is still in the cart. I tried clearing cookies, i changed browsers, i logged out and in mutliple times. Nothing works

Does the item appear in your Purchase History as "paid" or "awaiting payment"? Sometimes an item can appear in a cart even if it has been paid for.
If the transaction is unpaid, try signing in to ebay.ca and find the item in your Purchase History there and see if you can complete a payment that way. Or else try paying via the eBay app.

It said awaiting payment. I ended up giving up making ebay work on desktop and paid on the app. I'll have to check w the bank to see what's up with the first payment that apparently went through 😕 But yeah! Managed to pay at least haha..
