My eBay stores is not Showing ongoing Listing. Abt 5000 listings are active but eBay shop says Nil.

Hi,

There are more than 1000 questioning about kind of technical error and issues but there is no guide or solution available on this board. It seems it is westing of time , sharing here.

After my VACATION. As I turned it "Off " , I did not noticed any business for last 4 days, I checked all possibilities and noted that my eBAY store is dead, showing there is nothing in my eBay stores to sell though there are more than 4000 listings are active.

Would like to know , Is there any medicine to make my store LIVE ? Please help.

In the US I see 4200+ checking under "view seller items"

In the US, I see 200+ in your store.

Viewing as if I was in India, I see no items except the 4 featured Items in the store.

When checking shipping, as if I was in India, it shows an standard International Shipping.  It should show local shipping since it's from and to India..... so I believe that's the reason YOU can't see the items and that's what needs to be corrected.

I have no explanation as to the difference between view items and the store #'s.....

Either OP "fixed" something in the hours since you replied, or something else is up.

From my US location I see 4248 results in both search and the store.
From an India location I see ZERO results in both search and the store.

Pretty sure it has to do with the international shipping from India to India as you said, but don't know what the solution is.

I get so boggled on these international shipping issues where items from other countries are listed on ebay.com 🙂

I think I know who would know: @pjcdn2005

With a US location I see 4000+ listings in the sellers store as well as in view other items. When I use India as a location, I see zero items in the op’s store and in view other items.

They do have a shipping cost for India set up correctly so the seller and anyone in India should be able to see their listings.  I’m not sure why they can’t be seen but unfortunately,  it isn’t because they are using standard international shipping as an option.

Shipping options for international sellers on .com are very limited.  There is no such thing as local options for an international sellers home country,  Regardless if a seller is in India or Canada, the US is always shown as domestic shipping and all other countries are shown as international so the only way for the seller to show shipping to India is the way that they’ve done so.  That’s exactly how I show shipping to Canada for my listings on .com.

unfortunately, your theory doesn’t explain why the seller is not seeing their own listings.

Thanks for the vote of confidence but I’m not sure what the problem is in this case.  A few months ago other sellers had that same problem but in those situations I thought that the problem was just in the store and that those sellers could see their listings in view other items?  Or maybe I am remembering incorrectly? I know that it was an eBay caused problem, not caused by anything that those sellers had done.

@rare_arts

As you have probably read, sellers in certain locations have been having this problem for a while so it has to be some sort of eBay programming error.  As far as I can tell, buyers in other locations that you ship to can see your listings but anyone in India cannot.  If you want to see what I mean, change your location on the top right of a search page to the US or another country that you ship to.

You said this happened only after you took your store off of vacation and you’re certain that you could see your listings before?  If so, you might want to try this:

try bulk editing 100 of your listings. You don’t have to actually change anything on them but just do a bulk edit.  This might help to reset them.  Once you have done this, check if you can see those listings in your store.

I had assumed that ebay fixed this problem but either it hasn’t been fixed yet or this is something new.  I will page someone from eBay so that they know about it.

@Anonymous

This seller in India can’t see their  listings at all although we can see them when viewing from other countries.  Is this a new problem or something that is being worked on?

@pjcdn2005

I sure don't understand this.   When looking at your items, Canada, shipping to Canada.........I see "Standard" Shipping, not "Standard Intenational Shipping" as the OP's are when shipping India to India.   When looking at Canada to US shipping, yours do say Standard International shipping.   It was my understanding that  if local shipping wasn't specified or specified incorrecty, the listings would not show when signed into that country.

I agree, let's see if @Anonymous  can correct me........  we get too many of these questions not to know if there is a glitch or what is really causing the problem.

HI @pjcdn2005, this is actually working as intended as the items do not have a domestic shipping method listed for India. If an item cannot be shipped to a potential buyer, then it will not be displayed to them. When I look at one of the OP's listings and change my shipping location to India, I see that only Standard International Shipping is listed as the shipping option. International Shipping would not be an option for an item located in India to a buyer located in India, so these listings are being hidden from search results/the seller's store appropriately.

If a seller would like to have their items appear to buyer's in the country where the item is located, they need to have a shipping method listed that would ship domestically within that country.

@Anonymous

Wow.  Sorry but that is not how it works and what you suggest the seller should be doing is not possible.

As I explained to another poster in my first post in this thread, international sellers listing on this site do not have domestic shipping options for their own country.  Regardless of where a seller lives, the US shows as domestic shipping  and EVERY other country shows as  international shipping, including their own country.

As a Canadian seller who has listed on both the .com and .ca site for years, I can assure you that Canadian buyers can see my .com listings even though the shipping shows as ‘standard international’.   If you go to view my listings and change your location to Canada at the top of the search page, you will see all of my listings, including the Coach ones which were done on this site and show shipping to Canada as standard international.  All Canadians can see them because all that is needed is a shipping service and a cost.  Standard international is just a generic term, it doesn’t affect visibility.  In fact I could use any of those international options and Canadians would still see my listings.

You are aware of the problem where Hawaiian and Alaskan sellers couldn’t  see their own listings though obviously they had shipping to those states enabled?  I don’t know if that has been fixed yet but this is the same sort of problem.   The seller has India properly set up as a shipping option but their listings can’t be seen by anyone in India.  It is definitely an eBay programming problem, not a seller caused problem.

Please let me know if it all makes sense now. 🙂

@dhbookds

Sorry I didn’t see your post until after I had replied to Trinton’s post.

The screen shot  you are showing is for a listing that I did on the Canadian site (note the shipping is in $C). and on that site Canada is domestic and the US  is international.

If you look at a listing that I did on the US site, you’ll see just the opposite.  I’m not sure how to do a screenshot on my iPad but if you go to item  273560608148 or any of my Coach listings you will see just the opposite. ... shipping to Canada shows as international and the US is standard shipping.

There have been posts when a seller couldn’t see their listings and it was because they had no shipping option at all for that country. But that isn’t the case here.  As long as there is some type of service showing and a shipping cost, buyers in that country should see the listing.  It can’t really be done ‘wrong’ because they could use any of the generic options available in that section.

Does that help?

@pjcdn2005  thanks for the explanation.......I think I understand what you are saying.......

 I think you can see where I got the info I was using.

Hopefully Trinton will come back with more info.  I have a gut feeling about the reason, but can't work the sequences out to be uniform, using you as an example.

Hi @pjcdn2005, when I review your listings with a shipping address in The United States, I see Standard and Economy Int'l Shipping options. When I switch to a shipping address in Canada, I see Standard Shipping. Standard Shipping would work domestically within Canada. Canadian buyers looking at your items on eBay.com can see them because you have an option that would ship to those buyers. The difference between your listings and and the OP's is that you offer a shipping option that would ship to buyers in your country and the OP does not.

The OP's listings do not show Standard Shipping or any other Domestic Option for India-to-India shipments. When you change your shipping location to India, the listing only show Standard International Shipping and this is why buyers in India would not see the sellers items in search results. There is no shipping option selected that would ship to those buyers in India, so the items do not appear in search.

I have confirmed that this is working as intended and the reason that the OP is running into this issue is due to the shipping options they have selected. The problem you refer to with Hawaii and Alaska is a separate issue and something our tech teams are reviewing. The problem the OP is running into can be resolved by adding a shipping option that would ship to buyers in their country.

@Anonymous  I may be all wet...........but there is something odd.........

here is a Canada to Canada listing from @pjcdn2005 showing international shipping (they are the coach items)

image.pngWhat I believe, from what he says, is happening is that he is listing this item on EbayUS as opposed to listing it on his home site.    He has other items listed on the Canadian site which do show local shipping.

My gut tells me it is the ebay US unique relationship with Canada that allows those items to be listed /shown as they are......  but I can't figure out how to prove it.

I could be totally wrong..........  He is contending that the Indian seller is also listing on Ebay US and showing the same Standard international that he is, on all his listing that show the local as international.  I, at least, was presuming he was listing on his home site and just messed up the local shipping..

@dhbookds

Although I agree that ebay.ca does have a unique relationship with .com, that doesn't affect this issue.  ALL international sellers who list on .com have to list the way that I do for shipping to their own country.  It has been like that ever since I have been listing here.

It's easy to tell which site a listing has been done on by looking at the currency once you click on the listing. If it is in US$ and doesn't specify a different currency, it was done on this site.

ps...I'm a she 🙂

Hi @dhbookds, this is what I see when I look at one of @pjcdn2005's first listings and change the shipping location to Canada:

canada_domestic_shipping.JPG

That being said, I do see other listings with different shipping options, but ultimately there are still selections made for the Domestic shipping section that ensures the items show up for Canadian buyers. The OP just needs to add an option for shipping within the Domestic Shipping portion so their items show up in search for buyers in India.

I know this one can be a little confusing on how it shows up to other members on the site so totally understand how everyone reached the conclusions that they did. Once the OP adds a Domestic shipping option within their listings the items should show up to buyers in India without a problem!
