Message section

Message section is now USELESS. Why does eBay keep "up-grading" to garbage? HELP has to fit their choices, NOT mine. Can't call eBay, can't fix problem. NO recognition that the website needs fixing. eBay IS SINKING TO THE BOTTOM!!!

Re: Message section

If you are using a desktop browser you should be able to revert to the "classic" message format you are used to rather than the newer "chat-style" format. The link to revert should appear at the lower right corner of the main message inbox page if you are using the newer format.

Re: Message section

@eburtonlab but doesn't that just put off the inevitable that the 'new' will be the 'only' someday soon?

Changes that are not beneficial should be put off as long as possible, even if they are ultimately, inevitable.

eBay may be keeping track of how many users are using the old and new formats, and if enough users keep requesting the old format, that may convince eBay to delay the transition, or else force eBay to modify the new format to include useful features currently lacking -- such as Bulk edit, Search, Filters, Custom folders, and Offers.

If enough users continue to revert to the classic format, eBay may even reconsider making the change altogether, or may wind up making the new format much more like the preferred format.

If most users simply acquiesce to the new format, there is much less pressure on eBay to bother providing those features that the old format had that the new page lacks.
