Managed Active Listings Not Properly Coded to Work with Safari Browser

Anonymous
Not applicable

You have improperly coded your website to work with with the Safari browser.

The three buttons to the right remain grayed out even after an item has been selected.

The Edit button is not grayed out, but can't be used.

Only the small "Edit" links work.

Re: Managed Active Listings Not Properly Coded to Work with Safari Browser

I have this exact same problem, and have for several weeks.

It is impossible to use the Seller Hub effectively, because none of the buttons, links or tabs respond when clicked on. Also, search features seem off - there's no traffic going to any of my listings, so between these multiple problems, I've been finding the site too frustrating to use.

Maybe eBay could build a separate path for bulk sellers to use, instead of trying to force tools onto smaller sellers that aren't helpful and do not work? Just maintain a space for us that keeps the pre-2020 version in play, since that was a highly successful model. I don't need a bunch of metrics and marketing tools - just a straightforward peer-to-peer sales site that is simple, and functional. Like it used to be.

Re: Managed Active Listings Not Properly Coded to Work with Safari Browser

It's not a problem with managed payments.  Like the orginal poster, I've been on eBay since the beginning and don't have a problem with how my account is set up.  The problem is that the Seller Hub is almost completely frozen and nothing responds when I try to use it, including features that eBay is trying to promote, and has pop up to try out.  It's a real mess.

Add another person to this list. Same problems. I use Firefox.

So is there anyway to no alter or end a Good 'Till Cancelled BIN? Am I trapped with these same BINs eating up my monthly free listings?

You can try this page for ending listings:

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/creating-managing-listings/ending-listing?id=4146

I know the bulk edit actions at the top are not working for you @salandrei, but what about the individual actions on this page? https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active

Re: Managed Active Listings Not Properly Coded to Work with Safari Browser

The arrow next to Edit does not produce the drop down menu anymore. Probably happened around mid Feb so I have no access to those 12 options in there.

Thanks, the other option did work for me. At least I can get rid of auctions I want to stop being Good Till Cancelled  the day they are supposed to end. Thank you.

Hey devon@ebay. Reports on this issue keep coming in, mostly for Firefox and Safari users. Can you check to see if there's a site wide tech ticket yet?

FYI: The first issue on the pinned tech issues thread is missing the ALERT number.

Hey @wastingtime101! Thank you for letting me know about the Tech Board and I have updated it now to haver the alert number attached to the first one. I have not seen any sitewide tickets on this yet but I will check again later to see if it one does show up.

Hey dawson_treasures! It's been a month since you called ebay- any changes or solutions for you on this problem? I'm having the same issues, and have been for about a month. It's now become a real problem, and slows me WAY down.....

Re: Managed Active Listings Not Properly Coded to Work with Safari Browser

I'm having the same issue. Can't end a listing without going through a bunch of hoops to try to get to a non seller hub page 😞  -How long until this is fixed I wonder? I don't use Firefox or Chrome, as they slowed down my computer in the past, so I uninstalled them.....Safari works great for me, and has for years.

Also, in the last few days it seems they've taken away the option to view 'sold' details on listings that have more than one of an item for sale. ( I use this feature ALL the time to research prices, how often they're selling for that price, etc.). I use this feature for selling AND  buying.

Re: Managed Active Listings Not Properly Coded to Work with Safari Browser

Safari works great for me, and has for years.

Except in this case, apparently.

Try Opera. It is often handy to have a second browser available for occasions such as this. If the browser is slow compared to Safari, just use it for things that Safari can not do at all, or to test whether a feature works in a different browser. Having another browser on your computer should not slow things down appreciably if you close the browser when you are not using it.

Also, in the last few days it seems they've taken away the option to view 'sold' details on listings that have more than one of an item for sale.

There is a workaround described here:

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Sales-history-of-a-listing/m-p/33602875/highlight/true#M217459...

Apparently if you paste the item number into the correct link, you can still get the selling history.

Re: Managed Active Listings Not Properly Coded to Work with Safari Browser

I am having the same issue. I was able to end listings by going to seller help, how to end listings. It will populate your listings and you can end them from there. It is a pain, but it works.

Re: Managed Active Listings Not Properly Coded to Work with Safari Browser

Unfortunately there has been no change and I've been working around it on my iPad Pro. Ebay doesn't seem to care about this issue with older computers or Safari versions even though they should due to the fact we all pay to use it.  I will be calling and checking on the request and case number, but I'm sure I will get the run around. They simply want us to use another browser or update our systems.....same as Apple.

Re: Managed Active Listings Not Properly Coded to Work with Safari Browser

Interested in knowing what this fix will be. I too have the same problem on ebay and was told on 2 separate occasions that it was my computer. I am using an iMac that is more than 10years old. It was working fine in early February and then stopped. On other ebay pages, I have full function of them.

Re: Managed Active Listings Not Properly Coded to Work with Safari Browser

I'm on a fairly new - less than a year old Intel Nuc - and have been having issues with the Manage Active Listings page for a couple of months now on and off.  I have to go to page 2 of my active listings and then go back to page 1 to get it to load so that I can actually search or do anything else.  Initially the page will be almost  blank showing no listings.  Today, that's not working either.  Both on Chrome and Firefox. I think Ebay just adding, fixing, changing, updating an extremely old website just keeps breaking things more and more. I have no issues listing or completing tasks on Poshmark. Ebay has been promising and promising sellers for years now, that they will require buyers to automatically pay for best offers and auctions and it never happens.  No other website has this problem, among may others, except Ebay.
