What a joke! Theres no excuse. No excuse at all! almost every other major company still has phone support what the hell is going on especially right while they're forcing everyone to managed payments with so many having questions like myself! Grow up eBay!

and then click the 'have us call you'.
Amazing how people like to write threads complaining about things that are right in front of you. I've used it 10 times the past 2 months- works wonderfully.

I had no trouble getting a call-back from eBay a few days ago, within minutes, less than the estimated time for the call. Item was delivered to some other address in another state, refunded in less than 24 hours, and a coupon from eBay for the inconvenience. I am very pleased with eBay's customer service.
Just ask for a call-back, period, nothing more needed:

I have used the "call-back" option and I get an email saying they "tried to call" but the "phone number on file isn't working, please update your personal info" (untrue, it's the same number for years)
There is no missed call. They just don't actually call at all.
The customer service phone number is a recorded message telling you to go back to the website.
What a joke.

Are you using the Help & Contact number on ebay.ca?
The US Help & Contact call back may not work if you are located outside the US, or if you are using a virtual phone number.

Hello,
Thanks for your note.
I always use ebay.com and do all my business there, but I did try ebay.ca and I was able to use the live chat option. That does still work for ebay.ca cusomters.
The email message ebay sends when calls can't be completed is totally unhelpful and frustrating. If they simply added info regarding being a non-US phone number, that would have been fantastic and the issue would have been clear.
I appreciate your reply.

eBay could certainly stand to make their contact options more user friendly in multiple areas.
Many users outside the US have reported getting a very unhelpful "network is being repaired" message when calling -- often prompting them to keep trying, rather than a more useful message indicating that they are unable to reach eBay that way and they should consider alternatives.

I've had to speak to people that are working from their home. Seems like no one is in their offices. Guessing because of the virus.
