Example:
This was trying to access this item at ~10 PM EST on 5/12/2023. This has been happening for me dozens of times the last few days. With persistence I can get the item to load and then put it on my favorites. Later the sellers approach me because they see I have it favorited so I know that the item showing up isn't the faulty case. Any help would be appreciated, as this didn't use to happen.

Does the problem only occur in Chrome? Or does it occur in other browsers?
That listing appears for me without error in either Firefox or Chrome.

when I do a search on ebay and choose an item to look at an individual listing I get the error.
This is a recent problem and I am a seller who uses ebay often. I use chrome. Seems to be a coding error on ebay end.

I am not having any problems viewing eBay items in Chrome, though.

I was having the exact same issue using FireFox.........it was so bad that instead of just clicking a link to the listing I would copy/paste into Chrome.
I had a brain storm last week (prompted by board regular @eburtonlab ) to do the thing I usually snicker about when it's suggested.
What did I do? Go in and delete ALL my eBay cookies and voila problem solved!
Under normal conditions, I never delete cookies and rarely even reboot my computer or close Firefox except when forced to for a Windows Update or when FireFox forces me to install an update.
Deleting all the cookies meant I needed to sign in to eBay in multiple situations but once done with that aspect the errors have gone away.
If deleting eBay cookies works for you please come back and report so I (and others) can be more certain that the outdated cookies are in fact the problem.

I use chrome. If I select an item to view details I often get that the item is no longer available and my chrome is updated. If I put the item number in the search bar I have now found that I can view the item. What is this? Am I losing sales because this is an issue for other people. I don't care if it works for you. Something is wrong in the system

I don't care if it works for you.
You should. Others not experiencing the same problem is very good news for you. Fewer people experiencing the same problem means less of an impact on your sales.
If it works for some but not others, then someone needs to try to find out what the difference is between the folks that it works for and the folks that it doesn't. Some people using Chrome are having a problem, but others also using Chrome are not having the problem.
Simply saying that it's a problem with Chrome or a problem with eBay's coding does not actually help anyone or fix anything.
And since I am not experiencing this issue, I can only make suggestions of things you can try to narrow down what is ultimately causing the problem you seem to be experiencing. Suggestions like clearing your browser cache ("for all time") and manually deleting your eBay cookies.

Did you delete ALL eBay cookies? That is what I did with an immediate positive effect, have not had a single instance of the issue since the cookie deletion.
The only buyers this issue might happen to is those that never delete cookies, a lot of people have their browsers set to delete cookies on exit.
If you are like me and have your browser set to retain cookies indefinitely and/or rarely close your browser then the issue will eventually cause problems.
Interesting that you have the issue with chrome, I was only seeing it with FireFox and I use both browsers daily. This means it's not browser specific and much more likely it's cookies.
