Tonight I listed a number of Thanksgiving postcards using Sell Similar. One was signed by the artist J B Whitney. On the listing form it says "Signed is required before providing Signed By." I clicked the option of Signed Yes. Then I entered the option Signed By J B Whitney. On subsequent listings I did NOT enter Signed. However ALL following listing showed Signed By J B Whitney.
When I went to edit these following listings the optioned Signed By was blank so I couldn't remove the artist. I had to click the option of Signed No. Then, and only then, the Signed By entry showed J B Whitney, and I was able to remove the artist. Two errors here. 1) When Singed is No, there should never be an artist allowed in Signed By. 2) When a new listing made with Sell Similar using a listing with Signed specified, then if the new listing uses edit to turn off Signed so that it is not specified, then Signed By should be blank since eBay says "Signed is required before providing Signed By."
