Item specifics section has disappeared from existing listings MAY 11, 2021

Top-rated seller here for over 20 years selling on eBay in Action Figure category.  Suddenly today, all of my long term listings had their item specifics sections deleted! And when I go into each listing to try to re-add, the item specifics section is blank with no option to add any item specifics at all. Of course we all know that these item specifics are critical to drive search results, so essentially my listings can no longer be easily found by buyers. And many of these listings are over a year old with perfectly optimized search terms / item specifics that had been fine-tuned over many months with hundreds / thousands of items sold per listing. So NOT an option to simply end the listings and relist.

Is this happening to anyone else? Is there a fix in the works quickly? Losing sales from this and not happy.

When I try to list a book on the app I'm getting a message that this category cannot be listed on the app and to go to the web version. Big issues with the app today.

Yes. This is a problem for buyers, too. The opportunity to narrow one's search is why I and many collector friends use eBay. If the lack of this option continues, it will drive away buyers.

Today EBAY changed the listing experience. What a change. Yesterday had no problems listing anything under sport cards. Today every has changed. Once again Ebay thanks for making this experience SUCK! I used to enter the title than the player name and number would auto fill. Now nothing autofills spent over two hours trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Me Nothing EBAY Everthing.

Yup just saw it when listing a new comic. This will make comic searches so cluttered and unsearchable

Sales are DEAD! I searched one of my comics to test results and drilled down to comics, and 1 item listed, and surprise, it wasn't mine. Try it yourself. Search for your comics and see if you can find them...

We're sorry to hear that you have had a frustrating experience today as a result of the category changes. Action Figures, Comic Books, Sports Trading Cards and Books were all affected by category changes launched today. These areas were all part of the 2021 Spring Seller Update https://pages.ebay.com/sellerinformation/news/categorychanges.html. In these areas we have transitioned existing category structure into more flexible item specifics. For example in comics the age, genre and character-based categories have been deprecated and replaced by product type categories. These distinctions will now be available as filters which allows buyers more flexibility in what they search for and allows us to maintain and update Item specifics on an ongoing basis without the need for future disruption. For example, in comics you had to choose a comic tradition and then an age whereas now in one category you can see all things Spiderman, then select what Era(s) you want to view. As the category changes roll out there will be some fluctuation in the item specifics and left-hand navigation filters. This should settle down in the next 24-48 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime. Thank you again for taking the time to share this valuable feedback, and for choosing eBay! Kind regards, Ella

You guys need to test this better before rolling out changes.

Category 261068 for instance is supposed to replace and merge multiple categories but you can literally not select that category in any of the ebay tools and the change has broken API integrations with third party software providers.

 I've had to fill in numerous items specifics that have been there - now they're all blank/deleted!!! A waste of time...

Some of them were remapped automatically, but from my listings maybe less than 5%. Terrible dev work as this could have been automated ahead of time and checked for completion to save useless non-productive seller time.

No doubt these changes are causing problems for your Buyers and Sellers!!!! Too many horrible changes to go through each one. I am speaking for Comic Book Buyers and Sellers, which I have been for many years here on Ebay. It will also be impossible to do any kind of price research to say the least.

Your updated categories in comics are not working properly.

If I search for: Civil War 1 Aspen Variant ~ Here's what I get for the following drill down on the left side.
