When I start a fresh listing in a category it will only show me 6 item specifics and then I list that item and the other listing specifics that werent shown or available then show as as needing to complete. i then have to revise the listing to fill out the item specifics that werent available on the original listing page. this has been going on for over a week now.

@selsa84 We've had the same issue over the pond since the 8th September.

There are minimal additional item specifics on the sell your item form and then when the item is listed all the recommended item specifics (that would normally show when creating the listing) magically appear. This means we have to go in and revise the listing and add all the item specifics that we would normally input when creating the listing. Extremely time consuming!

I have reported it to ebay UK who say it is a known glitch but it's been 3 weeks for us now and still not fixed.

I don't think this affects all sellers as there is only one other seller reporting it on the UK board (hence me checking the US boards for the same issue).

As we are constantly being told by ebay to fill out as many item specifics as possible this is extremely frustrating.

I've been selling on ebay for over 20 years and honestly it is now the most difficult to use as a seller than it has ever been. It's just one glitch after another stopping us doing what we pay ebay for!

I called again about it but got a rep who seemed to have no clue to what I was even saying. This is a pretty bad glitch considering how important eBay says item specifics are.

I am also getting this from time to time (in the US). It seems like one of the browsers I use causes an issue, but I am not sure which. I switch back and forth between 3 different computers and several browsers.

I would suggest trying to update your browser, switching browsers, clearing cache, history, cookies, and if possible using a different operating system.

I have 3 listings which keep nagging for item specifics but I cannot get eBay to ignore them. Usually the cancel button is the only one which shows up.

If you happen to find a browser without issues please let us know.

I've done all that. I happens on mobile and desktop no matter which browser I use. I've tried everything.

I am experiencing the same thing as you are describing.

When I create a new listing, there are only about 17 additional item specifics shown on the listing form. I also have to revise the listing to complete the additional item specifics that were not available during the listing process. In my case, there are about 20 item specifics boxes that were not available at the time of creating the original listing.

I am going to request a call back from eBay to report the issue.

Sorry to report that I did not have any luck. The rep said it was working as intended. She said when we create a listing the only additional item specifics that are shown are the ones that are most relevant based on recent buyer searches. If we want to add more item specifics, we need to revise the listing. This does not make any sense to me.

devon@ebay Please review this thread and let us know your thoughts.

It makes no sense to me that we can see additional item specific boxes appear, and be filled in when revising a listing within just minutes after submitting a listing where those same items specific boxes did not show when creating the original new listing.

The most relevant are the ones missing from the new listing page. I sell maps and the cartographers name is extremely important.

This was happening last week too, but it appeared to stop.

I think the updates last night might have brought it back.

I just got off the phone with customer service (again). This time the rep is also a seller and was able to see the issue I was describing and understood the concern. She said she was sending a report to IT. I sure hope this is fixed soon. It is a PITA to have to go in and revise each new listing to add the missing item specifics.
