Yup, all my descriptions & IS's are gone.  Also Chrome/Adblock.  Also affecting many of the listings I'm looking at of others.   

This is absolutely NOT solved as any buyer (several of whom I've already heard from) who use Chrome/Adblock cannot see IS's or Descriptions.  That's a HUGE problem, as it affects MANY buyers!

devon@ebay  kyle@ebay  elizabeth@ebay  Can you please open a ticket & let the appropriate team know?  There are multiple threads about this, I included one above.  The fix is NOT to turn off Adblock b/c millions of buyers will be using this combo of Chrome/Adblock plus, we cannot control the buyer's environment.  Whatever eBay did the other day on the Item Page if causing Item Specifics & Descriptions to be completely missing from the Item Page if you're viewing with that extremely popular browser/extension combo. 

Buyers need to be able to see IS's & Descriptions regardless of what Browser they are using!

@eburtonlab  It is not fixed.  It seems to be affecting all of my listings & many, though not all, that I look at, of others.  I get that exempting eBay from Adblock will allow me to see them, however that does NOT fix the issue, as any buyer who uses this combo (millions) is not seeing descriptions.  That's how I was alerted to it this AM, several buyers asking for obvious info from the description (of course sometimes they do that just b/c they don't read).  This is something that just changed & will affect millions of buyers, so eBay needs to take a look at how their recent changes play with this combo.

I see the description until the "sponsored listings" quit flashing and load up.

Yes, same for me!

When the listing page first starts to load, I can scroll down quickly to about where the description would be, and I can see the description until the page fully loads!    Then it's gone.

I can't see the descriptions for my for sale items and items I'm interested in looking at!

Something eBay has done created this problem.

Typically when a page element loads initially and then immediately disappears, that is a sign that an ad blocker is removing it. 

Try temporarily disabling your ad blocker. Others have reported that disabling Ad Block Plus and then reloading the page restores the missing item-specifics and item description.

That's exceptionally shady that eBay has configured their site so that the item description rather than the sponsored ads get perceived by ablock as being ads.

@simply-the-best-for-you  I experience this issue in both Chrome and FireFox with AdBlock Plus enabled. So it's not just one combo unfortunately, which just makes all of your other points even more important as it's potentially even more millions of buyers. 😞

Thanks.  I got it too.  BUT as a seller, how can I be sure that customers understand this and can see my detailed descriptions and item specifics. I can't!!!

To everyone:

Please do a quick test. Go to a site, say for example ebay Canada or ebay UK and look at a listing with your ad blocker on. I just did this same test and it was fine. The difference seems to be that the US site now has a banner for ebay live. When this banner is not there, there are no issues on my end. This needs to be resolved before this causes issues for the entirety of all of the ebay sites.

Please either submit your results using the ? mark on the listing page or through messenger on the ebay FB page.

Nice thought @backpacktreasures  but there are many reports across the community forums for the other eBay sites too.

The UK has eBay Live (though I'm not seeing the banner on those listings) but the other countries don't, so I don't think that's what is causing the issue unfortunately.

I thought I had done good detective work. Something between ebay and Adblock is making Adblock think that the item specifics and description are ads. I did put a support ticket in to Adblock to see if they can help.

TELL EBAY TO FIX IT.  THEN TELL THEM AGAIN. It is hurting sellers. A goodly percentage of people use ad blockers and use chrome. They are not going to disable their ad blockers just to see a seller's description.

Yup got that done. Thanks, but as many others, I am concerned that the buyers are not seeing enough on my listings to make a purchase. eBay or ad block is making me look like a clueless seller that has no descriptions in  listings 😐
