Item description continually deleted in new format

Hi all,

I'm using my desktop and every single item I have listed tonight has had its item description deleted - I only noticed after going through to double check some listings.

When I revise the listing and save it then view the listing, the description is deleted again.

This has only happened since eBay moved over to the new listing format.

Is anyone else having this issue?

The October issue was likely different.

If you are using the quick listing tool, try the new listing tool.

I doubt if what i'm using is a QUICK listing tool, there are MANY sections for the various parameters

Same thing happening to me, multiple times. I've spent hours on this—why can't my listing stay exactly as I've specified (e.g., item size changes to some incorrect default, even though I added in my own custom values and didn't base the listing on a previous one)? Former frequent casual eBay seller returning to the platform after many years and finding it way too difficult, time-consuming, and frustrating to deal with.

In my particular case I was using the Chrome browser and every time I would edit my description it would get deleted. I had a pro writing tool plug in that was causing this. I actually used this tool all the time. It sucks that I have to delete it to use the eBay app. Why on Earth would this cause a problem?.

Which tool? Sometimes a change by an add-on or a change on eBay's end can cause a conflict.

Disabling or removing the tool should allow you to use Chrome again on a desktop computer if that is the issue. Or try using a different browser without that add-on installed until the add-on is updated to be compatible with eBay again.
