Item Description Gone from Sold Item

The item description is missing from an item I just sold.  I use the item description box to find my items in my inventory, so I need this information.

I see four of your listings that have sold and ended in the last day, and all have descriptions.

I'm with @eburtonlab... I see descriptions in your recent Solds. I suppose you're looking for "Dishes #1A" (Limoges) or "Box #5" (Lake George, NY) in the listings?? Can I help you find another?

Some are working, but most current listings just show the "We looked everywhere" page. Not sure what's going on?

A problem may be bubbling up. ....  I just received this post on the AAM board and came here to see if there others with the same problem.  

They are having problems viewing descriptions too.  😞

When I look on my ipad or on my PC with Firefox, I see the orange parka kid in the description area of many active listings but not all of them.

This has happened to us in here N.J. Also.  We often work off of some of our sold listings using them as sort of a templet when listing newer items.  No biggie' though we will work around it.  Good Luck!  (J.B.)

I'm having the same problem but it's intermittent. I include a location code in my listings that tells me where I stored it so I can quickly locate it when shipping and I'm guessing you are doing something similar. Even though the description isn't displaying it's still in the eBay system as part of the listing so simply click Sell a Similar one and it will pull up the template for an identical listing including the description of the original. It's one extra step but will provide the information you need. To me the bigger concern is that if customers can't see my description their not going to buy or their going to buy something they wouldn't have if they were able to read the description and then blame me later on.

Same problem, but with active listings.  All listings I've looked at so far show the raincoat kid.  Cna't expect buyers to buy without descriptions.

Is this a known issue?  Descriptions not showing on some listings for buyers as well as sellers sold listings.   

Changing browsers has not made a difference.

Yup, same here.  My listing shows the Raincoat kid and a couple items I was thinking about buying show the same thing.  eBay had some listing issues earlier this week and after a couple of hours of trying to list an item, I prevailed!!! 

I am putting my listing on vacation mode for a week.  I hope eBay gets their act together and fixes this.  Being a buyer, I will not buy anything that doesn't have a description and being a seller, how in the hell would someone buy something without a description.  Come on eBay, fix your site!!!

I am having the same issue with my product descriptions disappearing from my active listings. I can make them reappear by doing very superficial revisions to the listings, but I would like to know why they are disappearing in the first place. It is happening to new and old listings alike.

I'm having this issue too, Chrome, latest version, some of them show up and some don't....I do use custom HTML and styles but when I follow the iframe URL as shown in the SS it does display fine however, just not on the listing page. I seriously doubt it, but maybe encoding issue due to the spaces in the url?
It appears like "https://vi.vipr.ebaydesc.com/itmdesc/355683929727?t=%201713658203000&category=183454&seller=%20gottasellemall69..........."  in the address bar (noting the %20) but again I don't think that's the issue.

I am having the same issue. I spent quite a bit of time with someone on eBay's Facebook page and they were unable to replicate the issue. They had me try all kinds of things, none of which resolved the problem. They told me that because they couldn't replicate the problem on their end, they couldn't send in a ticket. Maybe if enough people contact them, they will see the light.
