It's ridiculous that I can't get an answer or find anything on the web for this.
I went over 600 in sales and I do understand having to register for taxes but this is the website it directs us to and it does not look real, nor can I find out anything.
There's one post about it on ebay forums where the guy tells us about WHY we have to register for taxes but still doesnt' tell us if this url is real or not.
Can someone please verifiy? I'm not putting my SS # into this until I can verify it's real, which should not be this hard.

You don't have to register for anything. At the end of this year eBay will send a 1099 to your state and when you file your taxes for 2023 you simply need to account for your online sales. Nothing to register for and you should be concerned about listing your SSN on some random website. Best of luck to you....

There's NO registering for ANYTHING when it comes to 'selling' on ANY 3rd Party venue.
You simply 'report' the amount that is on the 1099 that you get end of year (as the IRS get's the same copy); then 'write off' expenses as needed to get down to a REAL taxable amount.

I doubt it because that's not a real ebay.com address.
The only "registering" you have to do is when you sign up for MP which is when you give them your SSN & details.

It's a legit subdomain of eBay @palmer22 and safe to enter your info. It's the domain used when sellers have to update their SSN and account info.
If you don't want to take my word for it you can contact CS here: https://www.ebay.com/help/contact_us?id=4002&st=10

Link to a post with a screenshot that shows a legit eBay message:

Except they're withholding my earnings until I give them a SS#.
So again, my question is is the url legit? It came from an ebay message.

Thank you.
You are the only one who understood the question out of the four or five forums I've asked this.
