Instant sales drop to 3 sales a day after 2 years stable 20-30 sales a day.

I am not sure if it is has to do something with announced 'technical issues', but the sales instantly dropped after July 1st to ridiculous numbers. Anyone else faced the same problem?

I am a new seller and I can not find my item I have listed. It shows up in my ebay as active and all but I have went through page after page and nothing. I search my entire title and nothing. Very concerned how a buyer could find it if I can not

Yes, we too are in the same boat our sales have taken a dive. We also can not update the quantiy on any of our items, it shows in our dash but doesn't actually change in the buyers world. What a mess it is making of my inventory. I was promised a call back in 24 hours .......that was days ago! Stressed and angry - the should at least refund our store fees and give some help - it may be their sand box but this is beyond crazy

I hate calling them - the last time was the start of the week - I told them I needed to report a technical issues - it should have been a 5 minute call at most but instead they spend 25 minutes tryng to prove I am doing someting wrong nefore reporting it to tech support, then they promise a call back in 24 hours - HA still waiting

Last night I did a search of my own listing using the first 4 words of my listing and couldn't find it.  Many of the items that did come up only included one or two of the words I searched for.  I can tell there are days where my listings are not being seen b/c I will have no sales for days then followed by 12 hours of consistent sales (again followed by days of nothing).  Here's my issue, if I use the search to see similar sold items how do I know these are all the items that have sold & not just a random selection of sold items?  Why would I continue to sell on eBay if I can't even feel confident that I'm not blind pricing my items.   Then today I had two listing relist after I turned off the auto relist.

Going back to doing what works - Great, but how do we get eBay to do it?  They would need to go back to mid August 2016 and fix whatever they messed with at that time.  One of the biggest problems I see is lack of buyers outside of eBay.   Back when things were going good my listings would have 30 to 80 outside of eBay views daily.  Now a big day is 4, with most days having 0.

eBay states the final value fees we pay is for them bringing us customers.  Then they should be fired as their performance has steadily/rapidly dropped and their fees have steadily increased.  Less customers, less sales. Not the fault of the sellers.  Most of us still sell the same items and sadly, in many cases for less money than two years ago.

All these new things are fine, guaranteed delivery, free returns etc., as long as eBay foots the bill.  Their sales rise with ours so why not go back to what worked bringing in the customers?

eBay needs to stop trying to copy Amazon and go back to being eBay.

Appreciate the opportunity to vent.

J

I called on 6/27. It's a global issue. Should be "fixed shortly". View and watchs are intermittent.

The sold items list is just an arbitrary list.  So you are correct that we are basing prices from useless data.  When I ran my own sold items list it came up with 43 sales in 90 days.  If that was truly the case I wouldn't be operating on eBay.  I have contacted eBay several times about the issue and so far have never received a response.

If space is the issue, I would rather have a 30 day complete sales list than a 90 day partial sales list.

I have seen a drastic drop as well. Considering eliminating an employee because I cant afford to keep her on. This is scary.

This is the biggest problem in my opinion. Lack of outside eBay views. They have been dropping since August 2016 and now are so low to be almost un-existant. I believe you are 100% correct. Where else may we go to sell? Bonanza?
