I was listing a Pokemon Sorry Game. I listed it in Toys & Hobbies/Games/Board & Traditional Games/Vintage Manufacture and I was unable to see the listing if I searched for it. I wasn't getting many views, so I decided to try some things to try and get it to show up. I edited it with the bulk edit tool (thinking that would refresh the listing). I also ended the listing completely and then relisted it (which forced a new item number, etc). All these things had no help on the listing showing up. I tried different searches (Pokemon Sorry Board Game, Pokemon Sorry Game, Sorry Pokemon Game, etc). All with the same result... in that mine wasn't showing up, but also.... some other listings only showed up with one search, and others showed up with another search. Keep in mind - there are not a lot of these games for sale right now (and definitely not factory sealed like mine). I also tried changing my title around, etc. Nothing was letting my listing show up when I searched for it. Today.... Just now... I decided to change the category from Vintage Manufacture to Contemporary Manufacture.... and now like magic, my listing shows up! - I also tested the viewability with my boyfriend under his account, and he couldn't see it before.... but now.... he sees it!

I think there is a bug in the Board Game Section of Vintage Manufacture!

A search for pokemon sorry board game will automatically be steered into the following category:

Toys & Hobbies > Games > Board & Traditional Games > Contemporary Manufacture

If you list in the Vintage Manufacture category, your listing will not be seen when using those search terms. eBay will often steer a search into a particular category based on the exact search terms used. As a seller, if you want your listing to appear in a particular search you may have to list in the category the search is automatically directed to, even if you think another category is more appropriate.

At the moment there are 45 listings for that game in the Contemporary category, and only one in the Vintage category.
