Did you mean:

I need a dark mode!

This site appears to be missing a dark mode, which in some circles is considered an accessibility feature.  I know there are 3rd party browser extensions to "add" a dark mode, and those same 3rd party apps require you let them have full access to your browser session in order to do that.  I trust eBay, I trust Google (maker of my browser), I don't trust Joe-Blows-Chrome-Apps out of Podunk, Kentucky.  Can you please add it?  Late at night after being in dark mode for extended period I have gone to the bright (I'm on OLED screen!) eBay sight and my eyeballs blow out my backside!  Please, I'm dying here, please add a dark mode!

Oh, and I know there are other posts on this topic but I couldn't reply to any of them.  Maybe because I'm a new-to-the-forums user?  I've been an eBay member since 1999 and now 25-years later I finally have a problem.  I'm not a "complainer", just a guy who needs to be able to read the screen without pain at night.

I need a dark mode!

This is a common request. I prefer dark mode myself.

Here on the forums there is a dark mode option in your profile settings.

On the eBay app there is a dark mode.

On the website? No dark mode available. I've seen some people force it with browser add-ons, but going that route can lead to unintended problems with page view.

I realize you prefer not to use one of those browser add-ons, but in case you want to explore a tested option, I'm going to quote a post from @eburtonlab , one of the resident "tech experts" on this forum:

If you use a common desktop browser, take a look at an add-on called Color Changer. It allows you to set background, text and link colors independently using a color wheel, it remembers your default on/off settings for each site, and it allows you to turn it on or off with a couple of clicks using an icon in your browser toolbar. It does have a few unintended side effects -- some icons like the notification bell lose their color, and some images in pop-up windows are affected adversely -- but if harsh white backgrounds are bothering your eyes, Color Changer might be worth playing with.

Walk without rhythm, it won't attract the worm.
