I create listings on my PC, then take and upload photos to the drafts, and Item specifics disappear

after I upload the photos and I have to totally change the Item specifics all over.

It's with sports cards.  The drafts I make on the PC are single trading cards, and I will put not graded, then when I go to upload the photos on my phone, it disappears.  Happens all the time.  That is just one example but little glitches like this happen all the time.

Very frustrating.  Anyone know a fix or is it that Ebay's programming sucks and is antiquated?

Another example is when I go to the drafts after I do a multiple listing on the PC, and I'll maximize the screen and type a title in, then hit save and next, about a third of the time the lister will just decide randomly to not save it.

Forgot to mention.  Condition and Sport will disappear as well.  Only the required items will disappear, feel like Ebay is trolling me like they love to do.

Re: I create listings on my PC, then take and upload photos to the drafts, and Item specifics disapp

We're not listing in the same category, but I can say from experience in our categories that all Item Specifics disappear if you change certain other entries. If you change the category for instance. I don't know if that explains your issue...?

It really shouldn't happen, but it does. And it's EXTREMELY aggravating. The same exact fields are still there but the values we had in there are gone. All because why? We changed the category?? That's ridiculous. Isn't it better to keep all values and let the seller decide if he/she needs to delete the values he/she already took the time to enter once?? That is just common sense... Instead, they force us to recreate the wheel every time.

eBay often makes it unnecessarily hard on sellers. And when they make a mistake that causes you to lose data (or keeps your listings from getting sales), they rarely do anything about it. "Oops. Oh well. Just be happy we keep letting you sell here..."

If we were talking about two departments within a company and the IT department lost data for the other department, IT would be responsible for recovering and restoring it. Period. If it was revenue impacting, IT employees would likely get fired or disciplined for implementing changes without adequate testing. (Especially if it kept happening over and over.) The fact they appear to merely shrug off the mistakes which cause their sellers so much grief (and time) is concerning.

On a note that is likely related, it appears eBay lost as many sellers as they gained for Q3 2021. If that's an indicator of things to come, they need to focus on keeping the good sellers they have...
