I cannot link eBay to my shopify store. I believe this is an ebay problem. Please help

I have been trying for 3 weeks to get my shopify store linked to my eBay store. I have made at least a dozen calls to both parties. Both are saying the other one is the problem. This is where i'm at....

There is a 3rd party company that assists with linking eBay to other platforms.

support@connectebay.com They also have a phone number but it only goes to a recording and they have yet to return a call.

I have deleted my browsers, cleared EVERYTHING, downloaded new browsers, etc. When I add eBay to my sales channel on shopify it asks me to connect. Once I connect, it opens a new window and asks me to log in to eBay. This is where Shopify says they lose control and it goes to eBay. Once I log in to eBay, a window pops up telling me that I need a verified business account with eBay to connect. I have called eBay and PayPal and confirmed that I have that. Once I hit continue, it takes me to a form to input my business info. I input everything exactly as it is on my tax forms. It then asks for my company name and Tax ID #. There is a thing at the bottom saying they are going to use LexisNexis to verify everything. I input it and hit continue and I get this error every time....on every browser. Incognito or not.

The URL is an eBay.com one so everyone is directing me to eBay support but everytime I call them, they say they cannot assist with the issue because its a 3rd party request.

I have no idea what the tech error could be and I am at my wits end. I have spent at least 8-10 hours on the phone trying to get this done. Does anyone here have any experience in this issue?

I am gonna freak out. I was connected for weeks but suddenly tonight, Shopify is not connected. Well it was connected but I could not do anything.  So, I tried disconnecting and reconnecting but no matter what I do, I cant get in. I can log into ebay I can log into shopify but I cant get into ebay through shopify. Finally after two years, I connected to ebay and started to get a few sales but now it's done. 

Did you find a solution?

It would appear ebay has again broken something.

Cannot sync ebay listings to Bonanza or other platforms now also.

Whether it's intended or just one more 'glitch' is anyone's guess.

Been waiting 3 weeks here. No one has an answer from either side. wasting time on this, just hope someone from ebay (not a third party, tried that) can figure it out. just saying **bleep** to myself for 3 weeks.

It's 2021 and ebay sucks!!! It keeps telling me that I do not have a Paypal account if the "Immediate Payment Required button is clicked". As soon as I unclick that button, my listing works on ebay but Shopify will not sync. This is frustrating and ebay gives nothing to work with.

You may need to upgrade your PayPal account to a business account (not sure of the exact terminology) in order to use the Immediate Payment Required.

Yep, same exact problem here too. I contacted support several times. Everytime they say my account is unlocked to try again, but I still get that same error message. Some of them say to wait 72 hours before trying again. That doesn't work either. At one point I was messaging two different support agents at the same time, both ended up having to transfer me, and neither of those people could help either.
I think Ebay is such a big company now, they don't seem to really care about reliable technical support. I'm just going to keep trying every now and again while looking for other selling platforms that I can connect my Shopify account to.

I have the same exact issue, with the same exact outcome on all you have tried. Have you had any luck resolving this? I can't figure out what I did wrong.

It happened to me as well. I linked my shopify website to ebay and it worked great for about a week. now I can't to a thing. It's so annoying.

Me either.  it says on the tax page, value not supported, whether i leave it blank, or put 11 or 11.0 for %, Even though its optional.  Value not supported!!!  I cannot continue the process.

Tried a few times and stuck on

"We're currently importing your Shopify products (task 1 of 2)"

I guess that ebay staff went to vacation and will be back 2030...lol
