yes, it's very possible it's a coding issue...but it could be related to other events triggering it--such as the recent clock change.
it could also be related to how ebay has changed us all over to the new pages. did you notice that your old purchase history page is replaced? there has been a massive revamping of the site. i am always amazed when they do that how little of it does break! however, it would be more helpful if ebay would let us know that they are aware and what the ETA would be for a fix. that way, ebay might get more info from members to help with debugging...and you would not feel like you are talking to walls.

Not sure what your specific issue is, but just in-case it's related.
Please see posts and my posts on this thread;
"UNABLE TO PULL UP EBAY.COM FOR DAYS - SERIOUS ISSUE!!!"
This is definitely an eBay issue and not your computer. It's happening to many customers, who use both IE and Firefox. I addressed this to Alan, the Community Boards Manager and he replied and will be looking into this.
A work-around is to bookmark another eBay page that's not the Homepage (Community Boards works). Sign-in there and if you see another hang-up/error message, close the page and open again and you should be signed in.

these may not be the specific issues for the ebay home page, but there were several problems with various machines on other websites as well...
1- some of the errors had to do with extra memory being used when sites added more graphics and frames.
2- another issue had to do with the https site certificate -- where the time-change created a mismatch for the site certificate date/time vs. the computer date/time.
3- there are also some possible issues with the virus/security software. those seem to be blocking some pages that they should not.
hope that helps.

There's always the possibility that some reported issues aren't related, but there are too many and in the same period of time (started ~ 1 week ago). Many posting here (including me) haven't experienced any problems on any other e-merchant site or any other website.
It's clearly the eBay Homepage, a coding problem, and impacts some browsers, not all.

I just posted this reply on another related thread regarding this issue;
Yes, this started a week ago and is not resolved yet. I'm on Windows 7 & IE 11 and not planning to change right now. No other issues on any other e-merchant site or any other website.
Please see my posts on other threads here at CB under Technical Issues. I finally got the attention of Alan, the Community Boards Manager, who said that they created a ticket to address this.
To all those posting "helpful" suggestions to switch to Chrome, thanks, but many users want the Problem fixed and soon. This was caused by bad eBay system update coding and needs to be resolved. It's only resulting in loss of Sales for Customers, loss of revenue for eBay and turning away Customers (Existing and Potential).

Glad to help and I hope it gets resolved soon.
I'm working on addressing this and the many, many Technical Issues and poor Customer Support we've all been experiencing since early Feb. (and prior).
