I am unable to buy an item. The "checkout" keeps telling me to try again.

Anyone else having this problem?

When I click on my cart, I get this message: "We ran into a technical problem. Please try viewing your cart later."

 

That's fine for regular items, but I'd just added something to the cart that has a discount that will only be triggered if it's bought through the cart, not BIN, or so the listing says. Don't know whether to just pay for everything else individually or wait, and I also wonder whether this last item has itself triggered a glitch in the cart.

I am also getting the  "We ran into a technical problem. Please try viewing your cart later." message when I try to make my purchase.

I got the cart, finally, but when I click on "go to checkout," I get a page with nothing but the eBay header on it and the footer stuff. Now when I try to view the cart, I get the "try . . . later" message. This is not a Black Friday win.

Same issue here and it's frustrating as hell. It's been happening for several days - I can't access the cart, keep getting the "try again later" message. Every once in a blue moon, the cart WILL open, but then I cannot delete anything from it without multiple attempts.

 

I also notice that items aren't leaving the cart when I do manage to buy from a seller. Last week, I bought a bunch of mini figs TWICE because when I came back to my cart and saw they were still there, I thought I hadn't bought them yet and bought them a second time. They were supposed to be removed from my cart when I purchased them, but they weren't. Even after the 2nd purchase, they were still in the cart and had to be removed manually which took a **bleep** long time because I had to try multiple times to remove each one until it worked.

 

Now my cart isn't accessible at all. I've tried multiple browsers and both the iPhone app and desktop. I've deleted caches, and restarted. I've deleted stored credit card info as another post suggested this as a fix. I've deleted items from my cart as it was filled, but that's only possible when I can get into it and right now I can't even do that.

 

While I know I don't need the cart to buy things, I'm buying cheap mini toys that need to be bought together to get combined shipping as well as discounts for multiple purchases. They cost about a dollar each, so buying each one separately would be just as frustrating. I've googled this and this problem stretches back at least 7 years, seemingly affecting only certain users for months at a time. What the heck, ebay? Can't you have fixed this by now?

 

Someone suggested going to a foreign ebay site and buying from there. Well, I did. Cart loads fine on ebay.uk, but then the minis I want to buy can't be added there (and aren't in my saved cart there automatically) because seller doesn't ship to UK and they won't even show up on the site.

 

Please someone fix this!
