I received an email from a potential buyer last night that said “do you ship to the United States, I’m trying to check out and it won’t let me. It says yuu don’t ship to the US”. Even though I’m located in the US, I thought originally it was a problem with her account. Until I dove deeper into the issue. And what I found is that this problem seems to be very wide spread. I was on the phone with Ebay for over an hour last night, they opened a ticket. In the mean time I received another email from another potential customer asking the same thing.
This is is what I figured out. About 25% is my listings show no calculated shipping details even though when you go into the listing it shows everything is correct. Please refer to the attached picture of what it says next to the shipping details that is triggering the error. When you go to add an item that has this next to it into your cart and then check out you will get an error and it won’t let you check out. The picture is just an example of two items out of many that are on my personal account. It says “see description” under the price of the item instead of giving a shipping quote and a guaranteed delivery date. Then when you actually go to checkout the item it says you can’t checkout because the items are not for sale in the US. I tried this with several other items, not my account, and the same error was happening. Tried it with several different accounts, several other items, and several different browsers and received the same result. The Ebay rep did the same and she received the same result.
i thought I’d put this on the boards to bring This problem to light and see if more people can call in to report this problem as this is huge.

There's a report on another board that items that weigh between 13-15.99 ounces are not calculating, giving "shipping not specified" notations. Apparently the new postal changes went into effect last night. Don't know if that could apply to you or not.

I've had the same experience - changing the weight to 13 oz. fixes it. So far, I've only fixed the one listing my customer asked about. How did you sort to pair down to the listings that were affected in order to revise them?

I’m going into my store and then clicking on “current items for sale” on the right. That allows you to see the error without having to go into every single listing. I still haven’t changed all mine. I have over 500.

If you go to Listings from your Seller Hub, you can search by shipping policy. I searched for my listings with a 1st Class shipping policy and then scrolled through and selected listings that were showing the error (open the listing and then the shipping tab). It took a little time. Then I bulk edited the shipping weight on the selected listings and changed the weight to 13 oz. It worked fine. Of course, those weights aren't correct, but at least people can purchase now.

I have a similar experience many of my items are not showing in stock. They have stock and I have that in on my back end but I have customers trying to purchase asking if I have anymore so when I dove in I have items showing that they are out of stock. I was on the phone 2 hours yesterday without a solution and then putting in an escalated ticket! They have no idea what is wrong and make no attempt to compensate me for the money I’m loosening. I had almost 100 items out of my 900 that are showing no stock. Horrible eBay just horrible!!

This was posted back in January and what panned out was that when the new postal service increase went through the issue I had is was happened. It affect everyone for a couple days and it was a nightmare. They finally figured it out. But now there are other technical issues, like the ones you are having, reports of all photos being deleted accept for the main one, and of course the page views. It is very frustrating and disheartening. I have a friend who just reported that customers are contacting her and saying that they are trying to purchase items but they are getting a message saying she doesn't ship within the US. She lives in the US. So here we go again...
