Global shipping program

I sold three items to a customer in Russia. I do not ship directly to international customers. I only use the global shipping program. However, she is getting messages that say "seller has not provided information" about shipping, and is unable to pay for the items because ebay has not given her totals for her items. She is asking me for an invoice which I tried to send, but I should not have been able to send an invoice to her since I only use the global shipping program. Is this a software problem? Please let me know.....

Did you include the exact package size and weight in the items listing?
I agree with you about the invoice...you should not be able to invoice that Global Shipping
customer.

According to Ebay, the customer can request an invoice and if the seller responds with an invoice, the sale is thrown off the global shipping program and the seller then has to ship the item directly. I had Ebay cancel the sales, yep, that hurt. Now I know never to respond to the global customers, but when the global shipping program does not send the invoice for them to check out, it really doesn't seem fair to buyer or to seller.

The exact weight was included in the listing. The size of the package was not included but the measurements of the items were included.

FWIW, over the past couple of years shipping to Russia via USPS Priority Mail has been very reliable. And, so far none of my First Class shipments have gone astray. Plus, tracking and DC on both have always posted. Pochta Rossii seems to have cleaned up their act, so maybe give it shot.

 

(It wasn't that way in the past; my ex-wife is Russian so over the years I've had lots of experience shipping stuff there.)
