Today, while doing my daily searches, I started getting a pop-up about "Get to Know Seller". It was very annoying to have to keep clicking the X on that pop-up to make it go away. Anyone know how to prevent it from popping up? Thanks

My guess is eBay's running another test. Generally there's no way to turn something like that off. But there's usually a link that will say "tell us what you think" or "submit feedback" where you can send comments direct to the product developers @dollyshots . Use it when you see it.
Edit to add: That applies to the website. If you're on the app and want to submit feedback, physically shake your phone while the app is open and you can fill out the feedback form.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I clicked on it, then it took me to page two, where I still had to X out of it. Yes, very annoying, because it pops up and covers the auction photo(s) which slows up my searches. I have several dozen searches that do on the regular, which is already time consuming, so yeah made me quit searching for today. If I wanted to "get to know the seller", I would like ro see the seller's item FIRST. I don't have time to stop amd "meet" each and every seller that is selling an item related to my search. Definitely a flaw. Sorry to be having a rant on here about it but could not find where to give my opinion. Hopefully some one else will get as annoyed with this new feature as I am and can tell eBay. I jusy want to shop, LOL Again, Thank You so much for answering me.

Thanks for the tag @wastingtime101 I just happened to randomly get it on a listing I was looking at for another reason too.
I don't believe it's anything new or that anything has been added or moved around on the listings page (at least compared to what it's been looking like for me lately, which could of course be different for others with all the testing going on.)
I think it's just eBay trying to draw attention to the seller name and details which is extremely ironic because I was actually looking at this listing while testing something out for the other thread we have going about a test eBay is currently running that is intentionally removing seller names from search results.
Any way, here's what it looks like for me in Chrome:

Thanks for providing some clarity @valueaddedresource . That's just the standard type of pop up that's displayed to alert buyers to new page designs. Generally once you go through and click "got it" or even X out of the window, it's done. It will not reappear.

If you have an ad blocker installed, try adding the following rule to your filter list or custom rules:
ebay.com##.tourtip__cell
That should block the "Get to know the seller" popup.

@wastingtime101 yeah normally they go away once you x out but right now this one seems to keep coming back every time I reload or view a new listing, which is annoying. 😂
I'm guessing that's probably what's bringing it to the attention of people who either haven't seen it before or may have seen it before and forgotten they had previously closed it, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see more posts about it here today.

I noticed this, today, and I immediately came here.
I'm happy to see other folks dislike it as much as I do. Actually, I don't dislike it, I despise it! I'd like nothing more than to go on a profane rant to the people who implement garbage like this without polling members. I can't think of a single reason why they think buyers would like this. The only thing I want to see on a seller's profile is the feedback percentage. Everything else is a waste of my time ...

It's been really winding me up as well. The ridiculous thing is that it's been noticeable on the sellers I have probably bought most off, in excess of 1,000 transactions with each (that can happen with collectables). I hope I know them by now! I want to view quite a few listings from the same seller and it's coming up with every one - I open them in new tabs to look in more detail so do that going through the new listings before viewing in detail. That really reminds me quite how annoying the feature is.

I'm not sure the "x" will get rid of it, viewing the 2 screens and clicking the "got it" on the 2nd page seems to.
I have encountered similar pop ups on other websites that go away only after you have actually viewed the content. One in particular is my bank, the pop up was persistant for weeks and went away only after I had viewed the content, x'ing would not do it.

Happened to me today also.
Luckily, Amazon had what I wanted without this needless feature.
