How to stop the annoying bar/menu that keeps dropping down as I scroll through my watch list?

I have enjoyed shopping on ebay for years, but I am about driven crazy and feel like giving up on ebay altogether. Every time ebay is "improved" and forces me to change habits of old, I get frustrated and more frustrated because there is really no way for me to provide input/feedback, other than this.

I find this "automatic drop down" menu extremely annoying as I scroll down my watchlist. I know it's meant to save time by allowing me to delete an item or filter the list (?) or something without having to go back to the top of the list, but all it does is make me want to LEAVE the list and take my shopping elsewhere. It is distracting and annoying. It's like trying to browse through a store with horrible static filled radio music blaring through the speakers - what a way to drive out your customers!

Whose idea was this and for whom is it saving time? I can easily scroll back to the top of my list and clicking "delete" doesn't delete an item until I refresh the page anyway.

Would you at least give me the option to "pin" it or turn it OFF?

Thanks.

@remembertoask

Do you mean the "Add to list" / "Delete" buttons on a bar that drops down from the top of the page as you scroll through the Watch list page?

If you have AdBlock Plus installed in your browser, try adding this to your custom filter list:

ebay.com##.m-items-header.sticky-header

I think that should block that dropdown. It seems to work for me.

This Adblock Plus element hiding rule should take care of it:

www.ebay.com##div.m-app-module>div.m-items-header.sticky-header

Install Adblock Plus (or most any? other adblocker), create a new rule, and copy/paste the above in as the rule., and the floating bar is gone.

I fully agree with you.  I've stopped buying for now because of all of the recent technical issues I've experienced in the past couple of weeks (due to another round of system updates).

I also realize the intent was to provide the delete option to always be visible at the top, but not only is it annoying, it reduces the number of items you can fully see from 3 to 2 (at least on my screen, and I assume many other eBay members).  The main purpose of the Watch List is to "watch" items.  Deleting them and adding to other lists are both secondary/housekeeping.

I just reported this to a member of the Concierge Leadership Team and he'll be forwarding the concern to the IT team to look at.  It got his attention when he could also see it reduced the number of items you can simultaneously view.  We both agreed that it should be something the user can turn on and off within eBay.

Thanks to the other posts suggesting a work-around!

Thank you for taking the time to reply and I'm so glad that you know how to get feedback to the correct persons. In future I will "gripe" here about "improvements" to the website. 😉
