How to stop nude images on sponsored suggestions

I keep getting sponsored suggestions while looking at landscape paintings that contain nude women. I don't want this in my feed. My children access my account to look at things they want me to purchase.  This is highly inappropriate and not the 'art' I am looking to purchase. How do I remove this or stop these images from appearing in my suggestions?

Re: How to stop nude images on sponsored suggestions

I am not familiar with "Sponsored Suggestions", are those ads?

If so and you are using a desktop browser, an ad blocking extension might be worth looking into, such as Ad Block, Ad Block Plus or uBlock Origin.

Even if they are not ads, you can probably block them using the element blocking features of most ad blockers if you are willing to try that.

If you are not interested in an ad blocker, you may want to take a look at your Ad Choice settings, which is responsible for customizing eBay ads based on your search activity, and opting out:

https://www.ebay.com/adchoice

You will still receive ads, but they will be generic ads.

Re: How to stop nude images on sponsored suggestions

Sponsored ads are other sellers items here on ebay that pay for 'promotions' are will not be 'blocked' by any software. The 'ads' that scroll along the top or bottom of a listing, yes, but not the 'other sponsored items'. Before 'sponsored' ads, ebay used to just scroll 'other similar items' across the middle of a listing, below the 'buy it now' but above the written description- where now it's 'other' or 'similar' "sponsored" ads.

Because these listings are under the category 'art' instead of the 'adult' section, there is little that can be done.

I can only suggest that the little ones do not look at any 'art' type items on ebay.

Re: How to stop nude images on sponsored suggestions

If you mean the "Similar Sponsored Items" or "Related Sponsored Items" rows that appear at the bottom of individual item pages, those can be blocked with some extra effort by using the element hiding feature of most ad blockers.

Many ad blockers have such a feature that allows you to block almost any page element, ad or not, by using a point and click interface to highlight the region of the page of interest to create a rule that will block it. You may have to take care not to also block page elements that you still want to see, but if you are willing to experiment a bit, it is possible to block almost any recurring page feature.

Re: How to stop nude images on sponsored suggestions

This hasn’t stopped. I did a search for COMIC BOOKS and now this is what’s on my feed. And you can’t remove it or contact eBay about it. But hey, you have the option to put it in your watchlist even though you didn’t search that in the FIRST place. Thanks for nothing, eBay. Just focus on getting those views for people who shell out the money even when we don’t want to see it.

@adorajem

It is not necessary to post those images in a public forum. We get what your saying without the visuals.
It also isn't necessary to dig up an old dead thread from 4 years ago.  If you must comment on this topic, it is best to start your own thread and without those images.
Thank you.
