Help! General slowness of site

I wonder if anyone can help... my internet connection and speed is good, I can stream Iplayer etc no problem at all and all other sites load quickly as expected. However Ebay is sometimes (interetsingly not all of the time) so slow on my laptop. When searching listings, the results page starts to load and then it fails to load all photos, sometimes the page flashes up briefly saying 'error conection refused' before loading slowly. Another issue is that when looking at a listing, if I hover over any photo I only get to see the lead photo larger. As mentioned this only happens some of the time, its very frustrating. Any help most appreciated! I use windows 7 Pro, 4 GB RAM, Chrome.

Just a thot.

While I hope all e-commerce sites accomodate all operating system versions, as technology advances at a lightening strike pace, older operating systems and all their versions, will eventually not provide a seamless quick online experience.  Keep that in mind, as Microsoft and e-commerce IT departments dedicate less and less attention to Win7 and all it's versions. 

There's a list of reasons, single and combinations, for slower website performance. 

As I've read on the Community Discussion boards, many have experienced slower website performance with the eBay, from time to time.  Typically, it's temporary!
