Has anybody else had difficulty changing their banking information?

I've recently joined Ebay's managed payments system.   With the new changes, I soon realized I need to change my bank account.  I've been working on that for 3 days now and not sure how much more insanity I can stand.

First, because of the glitches in the Ebay system, I locked myself out of all our bank accounts.  Got that fixed this morning.

When I try to change the account, it goes smoothly through my banking information.  The bank is fine.  Just when I think it's done, Ebay sends up a message saying they need confirmation, asking me for the OLD bank account number.  When I enter that, I get a box giving me a phone number and personal case number to reference on the call.   The phone number, however, is no longer being used and I listen to the pre-recorded message for way-too-long before it tells me the phone number is no longer in use.   They direct me to chat and phone.    Sooooo,  the phone call back is always full and so I can't even leave my number for a call back.  The chat said it would 3 minutes wait time and after 15 minutes, I clicked out.

Honestly, between Ebay and shortcomings of the postal service, it hasn't been a very good December or January.   I lost money in lost packages and denied claims (more than usual) and continue to be followed by an overrun of buyers who make bids and offers with no intention of buying anything.  Ties up my product for at least 4-5 days.   I've been ebaying for 16 years and beginning to question if this is the right venue for my wares.

We are also having issues with our bank account and have had no luck getting Ebay customer service to contact us. Cannot verify bank information but have been receiving payouts since October. Praying they get this resolved quickly as its wrecking havoc with our accounting having to use 3 different accounts.

I also switched over to Managed Payments last week. I opened a new checking account to be used just for ebay transactions, because I definitely do NOT want ebay messing with my main account.  I entered the information about the account directly from the bank printout, and got a message from ebay saying that the information was not valid.  I phoned the bank, and my banker and I went over the ebay form, line by line, to make sure that what I entered matched their records, and that everything (down to the abbreviation of my street address) matched up.

Still, all my sales are "pending," and I continue to get messages from ebay saying that my bank information needs to be updated, otherwise I will not be able to receive payments.  ARRRRRRRGH!  I would have thought that ebay has had more than enough time to work out the kinks in its new system, but apparently not.

When I think about how seller un-friendly ebay has become since I first enrolled in 2002, it's appalling. No customer service, no immediate payments, no ability to customize packing slip messages... and so many other options taken away.

On the positive side, I do make a few cents more on my sales with MP--or I would--if I ever got my money.

If you are having trouble signing up for Managed Payments, there are some good troubleshooting tips to be found in this thread:

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Payments/Managed-Payments-Registration-Walkthrough/m-p/31092219#M79735

Common issues involve making sure your name is spelled exactly the same on both accounts and the form including any middle name or initial, and making sure you are using the correct routing number for your checking account (not necessarily the same as the number on your check). I believe that you may need to use a street address rather than a PO Box as well.

If none of that helps, you will likely have to get in touch with eBay directly.
