HOW to fix a Stuck Shopping Cart--PLEASE SAVE AFTER READING

Just wanted to share my experience from last night this morning, in the hopes it will help others.

 

I use ebay across three devices, a laptop a desktop and my iOS App on my iPhone.

 

Last night, an invoice from a seller, that had the wrong discount for shipping got sent to me.

I notified the seller it was wrong, and they deleted it on their end (cancelled) so I could order it again

with the correct discount. Well the seller messaged me 30 mins later and said it was successful,

but I kept seeing the improper invoice in my cart.

 

I emailed ebay support, and all they sent back was "we show the invoice has been cancelled in your

cart for your account."

But as of this morning it was still stuck asking me to "pay now".

 

So here is how I fixed it:

 
1. I deleted the Ebay IOS app, from my phone, as there was no way to clear cookies on an iPhone for Ebay app.
 
2. I then deleted all Cookies and Site Data for ebay from my Laptop and my Desktop computers.
I use Firefox, and this is under the Privacy and Security Section under Preferences. Just choose Manage Data from Websites, type in ebay in the search bar, and select "clear all Shown". Click yes, when asked "Are you sure?"
it should be similar on Safari and or Chrome.
 
Once I did that, I then re-downloaded the ebay app to my phone, and then signed in.
I then went to my cart, and then it stopped showing up in my cart.
I then went into Firefox on both my laptop and desktop, and confirmed it as well.
 
I asked ebay to Please add this to your troubleshooting notes to help the next person out.
 
I'm also posting it here to help out fellow users.
