Final Value Fees not reimbursed when buyer buys then cancels order!

Buyers don't receive an emails where they have to confirm the order was cancelled/they have received a refund. Ebay doesn't refund fees for those transactions. Last week I've had a buyer that requested the cacellation, I agreed. Since then it shows "Cancellation is pending" and the final value fees remain charged and not credited. Couple days ago I had to cancel the order from my end, - the same situation. I even had to buy something from myself to see if the process has changed and eBay never mentioned it, so it turns out, the buyer receives a refund, but there is no email sent to cancel the transaction, if buyer goes to "My Purchases" under the cancelled order it will say: "The seller canceled this order—just confirm that you received a refund. Reply now." - buyer clicks "Reply now", but basically nothing happens, "Cancellation in progress" and final value fee charged! Is anybody else experiencing this? Is that a glitch?

Seems like it is identical to mine: Cancellations still "OPEN" after funds were properly refunded to buyers due to cancellations.

Was relieved to receive a reply from tyler@ebay, confirming that it is a technical glitch and not a new process for cancellations.

 

As to your < final value fees remain charged and not credited>

I've called CSR to help recover FVFs manually, since it is a technical issue.

 

You may have to call CSR to recover the FVFs manually.  In my case, I used the feature for CSR to return my call rather than hold for a CSR.  Have your transactions details handy ie: the item number or the cancel id number.

Please contact CS for help getting those fees refunded manually.  Let them know that this is a technical issue and that they should check their resources for the ticket number.

any chance of adding us to the fix ticket for this glitch as well. We have been seeing the same message
