Minor error: "Contact" link is broken on the User Overview Page

tyler@ebay

Here's another small error to add to your list of fixes.

  1. If one should venture over to a page such as this:  https://www.ebay.com/usr/scott10019
  2. And press the "contact" link
  3. Then they will receive an error of "Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later."

@orangehound

If I follow the link in your post and hit "contact", I am taken here:

https://contact.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?FindAnswers&_trksid=p2545226.m2531.l4583&rt=nc&iid=1717764...

Which looks like this on my computer using Chrome (similar results using Firefox and Edge):

@eburtonlab

Probably account specific ... or user-to-user specific.  Others are mentioning problems with these links:

@orangehound

The original post in that other thread indicates the problem occurs after entering the common transaction and hitting "continue" -- which is harder for me to check unless I actually send messages to folks I have transactions with.

But if eBay has indeed changed the contact page link, I agree they should make sure the changes are consistent, and check that all those links still work.

Hi @orangehound - I looked into this and it's a known issue that is being worked on. It appears to be happening intermittently, so it's been difficult to isolate. I've added the members impacted in the thread you linked. If you come across any other reports will you tag one of us to add them or advise them to contact CS so they can get added to the ticket? Thanks!

Tyler,
