I can’t access anything but the Community page and certain placeholders on the eBay website (such as my Messages). The App works fine, btw.
I am having Ebay website issues Right NOW on Safari and Chrome.
Error message: "Cannot establish a secure connection with the server"
Anyone else?
What’s going on?

Do you mind sharing more details about this issue.

It's working again now. It was www.ebay.com, https://ebay.com, on both Safari iOS 11.2, Chrome iOS 11.2, and the latest version of Android both on Chrome & native/stock Internet browser.

I was attempting to access eBay from bookmarks, previous open windows, Google search result of "ebay" & "ebay log in", typing in "www.ebay.com", and so forth.
No redirects. No embedded links.
It was the ebay website itself.

Most of your problem lies with using safari and chrome.

I tried both Safari and Chrome and have the same issue. The problem is this was working fine yesterday for me. So this is obviously some error that eBay has introduced overnight. There is no way that I'm going to try to access eBay without a secure connection. So they better get it fixed, fast.

The reason both Safari and Chrome are affected is because they both use the same Webkit libraries to implement their browsers. So something that eBay has done has broken the secure socket layer code that those two browsers use. My browsers have not been updated recently, so I can only conclude the problem is on eBay's end. Fix it. This was working fine yesterday.

Ok, here is the actual problem that eBay has to fix. I got this from attempting to login using Firefox. They are getting an error code due to a bad security certificate. Here is the message: Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain So eBay needs to fix this asap. From what I can see about half of their traffic comes from Chrome and Safari browsers. So it should be a pretty quiet day on eBay today.

I've been having the same issues as a vendor, with Safari and Chrome, and it's July 2019! Inability to establish a secure connection is so bad, I usually can't contact customers. Sometimes, I can't log out. Ebay needs to fix this. I've called them and the people at the other end don't have a clue what's going on. Last year, it wasn't an issue, but now it's so bad, our company may have to leave ebay. We don't have time to try and find a workaround for an problem that is clearly ebay's doing.
