Ebay splitting multi item orders into two orders

I have a buy 3 get 1 free promotion so I have a lot of 4 item sales. For months now Ebay has been splitting these 4 item (or more) sales into multiple orders. They say it's a known issue. This dings me for multiple transaction fees so it's literally costing me money while Ebay is profiting since I'm using Ebay payments. 

How many others is this impacting?

I have had this happen several times over the last year.  Not consistently,  but often.  Not sure what to do about it so I haven't even tried.  It usually seems like the other glitches that occur are more time-sensitive in terms of providing decent customer service or more costly to my account.  Very aggravating though.
