For the last couple days, ebay keeps signing me out every time I walk away from the computer for more than a few minutes. I have checked the box to stay signed in. Anyone else seeing this?
Using Chrome, Win 8.0.

Another possible cause -- certain cleaning programs that periodically erase cookies. In some cases you may be able to exempt particular cookies from being erased.
It might be worth trying a different browser to see if the problem occurs there as well -- that might tell you whether the problem is with an individual browser setting or a computer-wide setting.

In addition to that "keep me signed in" box on the sign in page, there is another deep within the Account Site Preferences -- it might be worth checking that box (or unchecking, saving, signing out, signing back in and then checking the box and saving again):
It might be worth checking to make sure your browser is not set to erase cookies on exit. If your computer is going to sleep or suspending, that may cause issues upon waking.
If the problem persists, it might be worth deleting your eBay cookies and signing back in -- a stuck or blocked cookie can cause all sorts of problems.

@eburtonlab Thanks for the suggestions. Tried them all and rebooted computer but the sign outs are still happening.
Whatever the problems is, it is just on this one computer. My old XP computer and my Android phone both work just fine.
Must be time for a virus scan.

@eburtonlab Thanks for the suggestion. I do use Ghostery. Have paused it and will leave it paused for a day or so to see if it is the culprit. It is not on the old XP machine or the phone.

Ghostery wasn't the answer.
Have had one instance where I was kicked out of the community in the midst of replying to a post but was not kicked out of ebay. Got the big red authentication failed error.
Had another instance where I was kicked out of ebay but not the community.
Am thinking there may be a reload of windows & all my apps in my future.

Finally got it working - by using the Chrome incognito window. A Chrome delete and reinstall is in my future. Thanks for all your help.

You are welcome -- glad to hear that you were able to get something working.
Before you delete Chrome and re-install, it might be worth trying a different version, such as Chrome Beta:
https://www.google.com/chrome/beta/
One benefit of installing Chrome Beta is that it installs in parallel to your existing Chrome browser, but does not share any files, so you can keep your old browser while trying out the Beta version. If that works for you, you can import your bookmarks.

I'm seeing this as well. Signs me out maybe once an hour or so, and it seems to have started about the same time as it did for you, @alcoforever
I fully uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled it but it's still happening. So that may not be the solution.

@skittlebrau742 Haven't reinstalled Chrome yet. Did notice that it was signing me out of Netflix after each episode I watch so I changed to an incognito window for Netflix as well. No more signout problems there. Also notice that it never signs me out of Yahoo. Whatever the problem is, it is not ebay.
