It's 2020 and this is still a problem:
I have a message I'd like to reply to, I've spent I don't know 5 minutes clicking my mouse pointer everywhere withing the text box area trying to get a typing cursor to appear to no avail.
The last time I simply pressed the "send message" button, which then forced the system to tell me that I didn't type anything and created a cursor in the process"
This time pressing "send message" isn't doing anything.
Why is this system so completely broken and feels like it's literally 20 years old?
I mean if this was 1995 when the internet was new this would be ok.
It's not.
It's 2020 and this is still a problem.

What browser are you using? Have you tried another?
If you have Grammarly installed, try disabling it.

Try opening an incognito browser window, signing in and sending that message. If that does not work, try another browser.
If an incognito browser window works, that points to a problem with your cache, cookies, profile or history in Chrome. If that does not work, but another browser such as Firefox works, that points to a problem with Chrome, possibly another extension or add on. Try disabling your add-ons if that is the case.
