I have had everything turned off in the Account settings, Advertisement Preferences, prior to this problem.
1. Ebay is now cutting/pasting "recommended items" into the "recently viewed" items list.
2. Ebay is hacking into Search Results from Youtube , Steam, Bank Card and other sources, and pushing that into "recommended items".
example: yesterday I watched a review of a Harley Benton guitar, today I have a dozen Harley Benton guitars in my "recommended items". I haven't looked at a guitar on ebay in over 6 months.
So this isn't just a Technical Issue, this is data hacking and sharing without consent.
While no one should expect privacy online, this is a new low and deserves calling-out.
Has anyone else experienced this, and know of a workaround? Will a VPN prevent Ebay's dishonest and invasive practices?
Even if ebay stops this unethical behavior, the collusion between Banks and Google is so severe at this point that it seems the only remedy is to stop using Debit/Bank cards entirely, and return to cash-only.

I doubt it's unlawful.............and since ebay got the info from an outside source........seems like that source is probably selling your id/search history with other merchandisers.......including ebay.........

Like every single company you do business with. You think they don't keep your name and address and share what you bought with others? We sell to you, you sell to us and we all send data everyone.

Anytime you go on the internet; the world is watching.
Always has been.

If you're concerned about this, why are you on youtube? Youtube is the one selling that data via 3rd party advertising to ebay, sounds like you need to learn how things work rather than aimlessly blaming ebay with no knowledge or understanding to back your claims.

I don't need to know how things work, to know they are wrong.
It's called having principles.

Stop making excuses for unethical behavior, you loser.
No "we" don't all do this. Not "every single company".

Are you signing in to YouTube and/or Google? I never do and never have had this problem, and use both and ebay daily.
