Something technical is wrong with ebay it won't let me delete an item from my watch list. When I try to delete an item I get a message saying I have listed a book for sale. I have not listed any items for sale. Am I being crossed with another user or hacked?

Other users have recently received such an error message when trying to delete an item from a Watch List, or delete a saved seller.

You have not actually listed anything. It is just an erroneous error message.

Getting this exact error message when trying to remove an item from my Watched list, so eBay still haven't fixed the issue as of 5 April 2021. Using ebay.co.uk site.

Still happening right now months later.

No use trying to contact ebay they only have non-english speakers who seem to be paid to be as slow and unhelpful as possible in their customer services!
