Is typical and not a big deal as ebay runs about 1 day behind usps website.

When someone messages me, I always compare the 2 and am usually able to say something 'more positive' than what ebay is showing.

It's been like that for a few months. Don't sweat it. Unless a buyer questions it do not email the buyer. You are opening a "can of worms".

It has not been the case for me.

Each morning, I check to make sure the packages I ship the day before were processed. I do not get scans on pickups. These orders were picked up at the same time as others which are properly tracking. They should show scans that occurred at two or three POs, like the others which were picked up.

Maybe, I have been luckier than the average seller.

No risk of my contacting buyers, I do not look for trouble.

Just to be clear: you are seeing what you expect to see for tracking when you go to USPS.com and view your tracking number there, and it's only the eBay view of tracking that's not showing the current scan data; is that right?

I agree that the scanning seems to be running a day or so late on the eBay side, although I have not seen any late-shipping penalties as a result. (I have 1-day Handling.)

Another fun bug: If I use the USPS Self-Serve Kiosk in the post office lobby, the provisional Acceptance timestamp comes up as 00:00 (Midnight) beginning today's date; somehow the time gets lost. eBay takes that midnight timestamp and apparently tries to correct its time zone offset for either Pacific time or Central time (where I am), which rolls it back into the previous day, thus telling me (on my Sold items page) that I mailed it the day before. For example, a recent item of mine that I sold and shipped on December 11th is displaying as "Shipped Dec. 10" by mistake.

Unfortunately I think that when it comes to tracking shipments here, we have to kind of roll with the punches. 🙄
