Ebay System Deleting ALL Listing Item Specifics - CRITICAL BUG

Every sellers that sees this please call ebay to report the bug. The more we blow up their phone reporting this bug the faster they will fix it.

To duplicate this software bug:

1) Select one of your product listings that has 5 or more custom item specifics

2) Press "Sell Similar" - Notice all item specifics are seen on the draft listing screen

3) Change the product listing title to "test" (or anything you want)

4) Press List Item

5) View the new listing on ebay - ALL ITEM SPECIFICS HAVE BEEN DELETED

This is bug is causing irreparable harm to the entire ebay platform. Million of listings are being added to the ebay system everyday with no item specifics. WHY? We all use Sell Similar. Few us have noticed yet that all of the item specifics got removed. Few of us are going to spend all day revising and re-entering 10 item specifics for each of the 100+ new product listings we create each day.

Whats worse by not immediately fixing this bug is that thousands if not tens of thousands of sellers are going to stop using item specifics all together because of this bug .. And if ebay ever does fix it, we are not coming back and using item specifics again.

Since I reporting this bug 7 days ago (reported it 5 times) I have been re-keying all of my 14 item specifics hundreds of times for 1 week now and I am ready to abandon use of item specifics.

FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY. The results of delaying to fix this one is enormous and irreparable. We are going to stop using item specifics. We cannot afford the labor hours to re-enter item specifics thousands of times a week to add 100 new products every week.

It's not just sell similar - even for brand new listings custom item specifics get deleted.  Or if you edit an existing listing to make some small change, custom specifics are deleted by the system when you view the listing afterwards.  I will say it seems to delete the specifics more aggressively in some categories - like each category has a limit of total item specifics.  Now with the new specifics being rolled out in the last few days the total NON custom specifics has grown.  Saw something similar last year when they updated the specifics.  So the custom specifics you add go first and just disappear.  I have reported it and it has been written up.  No timeline for fix given.  Am now saving a screen shot of all my item specifics before listing the draft so I at least don't have to think it up again.  But agree with OP, the losses to listing accuracy are and will be huge.

Also the "condition" and "condition information" has deleted the condition on collectibles.

There is also a problem with the "mobile-friendly checker". After typing up my entire description, the checker tells me to list it with next to NONE of my text on it. The technical glitches are just getting worse and worse. At least I have an answer to what has happened to my flipping sales lately!!!! Just shaking my head and frustrated beyond belief.

Are there any updates to this topic?? A lot of UPC codes have also been deleted. Many of those were specifically input at eBay's insistence that every item have one. If we go in and re-enter all the missing item specifics, will they disappear again? Does it even make a difference if there are item specifics??
