Ebay Summer 2018 view counter not working - views not showing - dashes instead

For about 2 days in a row now, there has been this intermittent problem on Ebay under active listings. It seems to depend on the time of day. The view counter is not showing view numbers on most listings. Instead it shows dashes. Before this problem, there was also another intermittent problem where the view count would show up as zeros instead of dashes. Something is definitely wrong with the view counter and I ask eBay to please fix it since this is a very annoying issue. It is impossible to tell how a listing is doing without the view count. Please respond if you are also experiencing the same problem.

I've had dashes and 0 views for over 2 weeks now and no sell for over 2 months which is not the norm I have been a seller for 10 years. To get absolutely no views is ridiculous period... is eBay not showing our items?

Not only does it take 3+ page reloads to show views and not "--", my viewed numbers have not updated in FIVE days. My wife logged onto her account this morning and viewed every item I have listed on my account. Two hours later still no change! The only changes that are showing the same day are newly listed items but all with 0 views. 

I think the reason I am seeing listings with 0 views and 1 or more watching is Ebay is not updating the views.

Is anyone having listings sold but still no views? I would hope if I have items sell it will show in my Sold area...

Having same trouble! I would like to see some reply from someone at eBay this has been going on for far too long.

Today, I went from dashes to a crazy high number on one auction to zero on the item with watchers 😕

Just for kicks last night, I listed 3 items on an account where views were still visible. Then from another account I viewed each of the 3 new listings. Back on the first account, it took maybe a half hour for my views to show up. But, this morning, 1 showed 1 view, 1 showed 768 views (not possible), and 1 showed 0 views (what, I don't count anymore?) And now, all the views show double dashes instead.

A couple weeks ago, I ended a lot of listings that seemed to be getting no attention, thinking that I had made some bad purchases. I donated the items to Goodwill. And now I'm really starting to regret that since it seems to be eBay's problem, not mine. Oh well, my loss is Goodwill's gain and I expect I'll see some of my items listed again by another seller.

I've been having the same problem also.

I have same technical issue. On my seller page I have "watchers" on my items but with 0 views. So, would this mean that people are adding an item to their watch list without actually looking at the item posting? 

My seller listings are just 0 or -- for the past week.  Same with different web browsers and same after refreshing ebay seller page multiple times.

This is just another ebay technical issue, of which there have been many lately.

Technical problems I recently experienced on ebay -

1) Ebay not calculating item final value fee correctly during a final value fee promotion.

2) Ebay messaging promotions after the promotion has expired.

3) Ebay not able to end a "Buy It Now" listing early (a lisitng with no offers).

4) Ebay bucks page going completely missing and still missing.

5) Ebay not tracking views to seller's item listings. All items for sale say 0 views, although items have watchers.

Same is happen to me, a lot of lagging, my pictures doesn't show in my store, and I have to reload the page every time that I post an auction.

And another issue: I currently can't print shipping labels through Ebay - every time I try, I'm being told that Paypal can't authorize payment & I need to update the funding source! But when I called Paypal they said they can't find anything wrong with the Paypal account - everything is updated & in good standing and to please call Ebay. ???? And when I called Ebay they said they are trying to push a lot of updates through their system right now & I should go ahead & print the labels through Paypal - Really???? You don't get the same options for mailing specific boxes (USPS) via Paypal, their online label record doesn't list the product or seller's shipping info....and I had to re-set the account so I can use a credit card since Paypal tries to make you use your Paypal balance. What a mess! For all of us that pay fees for Ebay stores.....we should get a discount for services interrupted/not provided! Let's call! I will!

sales are tanking, not even worth posting anything at this point in time. You would think a company that big could hire someone more efficient.

I'm having the same problem.  I contacted ebay this am and they have a technical team working on it.

It has been an issue for a month per the conversation I had with them today.  No idea when it will be fixed.  

I suggested they refund subscription fees for my business since they aren't providing the service needed.

Plan to keep calling them until it gets fixed.

Frustrating.

This "WORKING GOOD" IS CERTAINLY IS NOT TRUE.... I'm a newbie to eBay and I REALLY needed to track my View and Watchers..... THIS IS A PRIORITY...!!! THE ONLY thing more important is providing for SALES - eBay.... What the HECK is going on???? DON'T you TEST your SOFTWARE BEFORE a RELEASE...!!!! Sounds like your IT Department needs SYSTEMS TESTERS...!!!! DO WE HAVE AN ETA ON THIS...!!!???

I am also having to reload the page MANY times to get the Watches/Views to be seen at the same time.  So annoying, and I have left feedback that this needs to be addressed, but have no response.  Also, they are adding features that I would not have wanted had they asked me.  Now, I have to manually check all items I am listing and remove the arbitrary "Make an offer" feature, and uncheck the "Automatic relist" feature.  And even then, it sometimes will still list with the "make and offer", so I have to hit revise and uncheck it again.  I wish both these arbitrary features would go away.
