Whenever I go to hit search on Ebay on my computer, I am being taken to a blank page.
I will type whatever I am looking for in the search box at the top and hit search, but nothing will come up.
This issue is occurring both on Chrome and on Firefox browsers, even after clearing my cache.
This issue has been happening since 11/8.
Is anyone else having this issue? If so, is there a way to fix it?
I imagine this would slow sales for Ebay if this is an ongoing issue, since buyers will not be able to see any listings.

I have seen a few isolated posts about this on the Community discussion boards here and in the UK.
For one user, the problem seemed to go away on its own.
Another user said they were able to search using Edge but not Chrome.
One user was only able to search while signed out of their account.
So far I cannot see any pattern to the problem -- search appears to be working normally for me.
For anyone experiencing this issue, do either of these links work?

Or these (for eBay Canada)?

The problem may be related to the default search settings -- sort order and items per page and such.
That might explain why only certain users -- the ones with the problematic combination of settings -- are unable to search. That might also explain why some browsers work for some users and not others (some browsers are better/worse at ignoring/using default search settings). That might also explain why signing out allows some users to search, as the default settings stored in their account no longer apply. That would also indicate that the new user default default (Best Match, list view, 50 items per page) should work.
Assuming you are able to get into your advanced search page, try changing the sort order and other settings at the bottom of the page and searching again. If you are able to get to a normal search results page, see if you can reach that customization setting in the "view" drop-down menu at the top of the results and change your defaults.
If someone having this issue can recall what their default search sort and items per page were set at, that might tell other folks which settings combinations to avoid.

I understand getting around the issue with different search techniques and browsers. However the heart of the problem is most users (buyers) aren't going to go to those extremes to find something. They're just going to move onto the next site to find what they are looking for. This is hurting some sellers big time. I wasn't aware of this problem until two days ago when I tried to look for an item and failed miserably.
